Les Chapelles is a small country hamlet in the Charente-Maritime between the historic Roman town of Saintes & the beautiful beaches of Royan. The Maison de Maitre is a 4 double/2 single bedroom country house, luxuriously appointed with all mod cons, private outdoor space for relaxing & dining and access to the shared 3 acre garden, shady children's playroom, table tennis and heated indoor pool with sun deck. Larger party? Book along with Le Cadran Solaire, for 6 and La Cachette for 4. The space We immediately fell in love with the property when we first saw it. The house is large enough to accommodate a large group, the downstairs kitchen, family room and sitting room are all large light rooms and in the summer the terrace acts as another well-used room. The two mulberry trees provide deep shade for comfortable dining. The indoor pool is great for keeping little ones out of the sun for a while, or as a good distraction on a very rare wet day. The wide country views give such a feeling of space and there is so much sky. It is a real away-from -it-all holiday. Guest access Guests at the Maison de Maitre have private access to the house and wide front terrace with barbeque, table and chairs and sunbeds. There are shared amenities with 3 bedroom cottage, Le Cadran Solaire, and our 2 bedroom apartment, La Cachette: the indoor heated pool, sun deck and wider garden, children's playroom and table tennis barn. In addition there are a number of bicycles for adults and children for all to share.
