While there are no shops in South Bay, it's only a short 8-minute drive to the centre of Kaikoura with all it's cafe's, restaurants and shops. Be sure to get out onto 'Tom's Track' a great 20-minute walk over the hill into Kaikoura with spectacular views well worth viewing.
