Hiking and biking just from the holiday apartment In only 15 minutes on foot you reach the Lake Hallstatt and the east bank hiking trail, who leads you from Bad Goisern to Obertraun and Hallstatt. If you are a motivated hiker, we can recommend you the traverse of the Sarstein, at which you leave 15 km and 1 500 height meters behind you and reach after about 8 hours Obertraun (depending on your fitness). Just at the holiday apartment you will find a small wood (Maneck), which offers a short tour for a leisurely stroll. Also bikers don’t have to drive somewhere to start their bike tour. The bike region Dachstein Salzkammergut offers a wide route network with over 350 km of signed routes. In the ski area Dachstein West you will find wide family routes for beginners and intermediates. The Freesports Arena Dachstein Krippenstien offers a lot of freeriding routes for the experienced skiers and snowboarders. Also ski tourers, snow shoe hiker, cross-country skiers and winter hikers have a lot of fun in our region. In Bad Goisern you find more than 50 km of cross-country skiing trails, not only in the valley but also on over 1 000 height meters. A well-known destination for ski tourers is the Goiserer hut.
