Classic tropical-style beach house centrally located on World Heritage Listed K'gari at Happy Valley on the famed Great Eastern Beach. The open design features 5 bedrooms, upstairs kitchen, bathrooms upstairs and down, expansive lower deck area with lBBQ and large dining table, verandah, balcony, french doors, TV, and solar power. The maximum number of guests is strictly 12. Guests are expected to leave the home tidy on departure and take rubbish to the tip. The space Central location close to major attractions such as Eli Creek and Maheno ship wreck. 150 metres to Great Eastern Beach along elevated boardwalk. Extensive us of Fraser Island Satanay timber and galvanised iron throughout the home. The entire community of Happy Valley is enclosed by a dingo fence to secure the safety of families. Fraser Island Retreat restaurant, bar, fuel and general store conveniently located close by. Guest access The keys are collected from the Fraser Island Retreat in Happy Valley on arrival where all guests are required to register before moving into the property. Keys are to be returned to the Retreat on departure. There is a Key Return box for those guests choosing an early morning departure. If you happen to arrive early it is OK to politely ask if the home is ready to be occupied ahead of time. Please do not hassle staff for an early check-in before 2 pm. Please understand there are multiple homes to be serviced every day. Guests have access to the entire property and lawns other than service sheds containing supplies and solar power generation equipment. The pump shed, storage shed, and battery space are closed to guests. The property has a fully enclosed expansive yard with a white picket fence for the safety and recreation of children and adults. Other things to note Guests need to bring their sheets and towels. Other bedding is provided. Use of sleeping bags is prohibited. Toilet paper and soap are provided on arrival but additional supplies will be your responsibility. These items can be purchased at the store in Happy Valley. There is ample 'street parking' beside the stairwell alongside the large cotton tree on the side cul de sac (Postan St). Covered parking and parking on the property are not provided. The key is collected from reception at the Fraser Island Retreat in Happy Valley on your arrival. Check-in time is 2 pm and check-out is 9 am. Guests need to complete a registration form on arrival at the Fraser Island Retreat. The maximum number of guests is strictly 12, but 10 is most comfortable. The home is solar-powered and is not air-conditioned. Ceiling fans, wall fans, and pedestal fans are provided throughout the home where appropriate. Happy Valley is a family-friendly community and this is not a party home. We do want you to have lots of fun, but we kindly ask guests to respect their neighbours as they would in any township. The protocol is to reduce noise after 9 pm and all quiet from 11 pm onwards. Fraser Island Holiday Home is offered as a 'self-clean' property. Cleaning products and equipment are provided. All rubbish is to be taken to the tip on departure. The signposted Rubbish tip is located at the Western end of Happy Valley Road, a few hundred metres from the home.
