Please read these explanations in order to obtain a greater understanding of Japanese lifestyle. 1) Enjoy nature with open heart: Old Japanese houses are usually and intentionally created many small gaps in the outer walls to cope with Japanese high-temperatures and humidity. This means air flow from outside make this house pure and fresh, cool in summer but some non-heated areas are cold in winter. We hope you enjoy the whole of nature including these things. 2)Differences between the Futon bed and the typical overseas spring-bed: Some guests from other countries may feel the Futon or the pillow too small or hard. Please take time to get used to it and you will begin to enjoy its unique comfort. We chose to offer the traditional Japanese lifestyle due to our hospitality. Its hardness, size, and thickness are cultivated in over 2000+ years of long Japanese history. It is best suitable on the Tatami mats and for the size of the rooms, as you have probably seen it in the Japanese historical films or cartoons. Also its hardness is said to be healthy and good for your back. When you return home, you may feel your spring-bed is 'too big', 'too soft' or may think it occupies too much space. Also a Futon bed has only one pillow used to hold your head while sleeping. 3)Cooperation for housework: Some people from other countries think it just seems natural that the woman takes care of the house and the man does nothing in the house. But NOT at all in Japan. All the family members from the kids to even grandpa & grandma have certain housework roles to maintain the house in Japan. Also this is a smart way to reduce time and labor at the check-out. 4)Preparation in winter: We have various heating systems in place to accommodate foreign guests coming from tropical countries, but we recommend some layers on in the house. At the some coldest day(about -5 degrees Celsius), we may enter the guest space to the minimum extent necessary to manage the wood stove, air conditioning, and prevent freezing. We can provide pocket heat pack for free. 5)Preparation against snow: Snow usually accumulates in this area from mid-January to late February. This year it is likely to snow, snow is very whimsy, but please be aware of the following points. -Please check-in and return from visiting spots in the light of a day (by 4:30 pm). Do not drive nor go out in the dark. -Although rarely used, chains are necessary with your car when driving through mountainous areas. -Driving time may take three times as long as that your map application says. -Once or twice a year, you may not be able to go out even in the daytime. -For the safety of your trip, we may ask you to do something else depending on the weather. Against Covid-19 --------------------------------------------------------------------- This facility has several infection control measures in place. 1) After check-out, there is an interval of at least three days before the next guest checks in. 2) We limit the number of guests to 11. We provide cleaned bed sheets. 3) Disposable gloves are provided. 4) There is alcohol spray at the entrance for guests. Please disinfect your hands before entering the room. 5) Special slippers are provided for guests. 6) Please refrain from using the same dishes or gathering in a small room to chat. 7) Do not left the windows open. Please sleep in as many different rooms as possible. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you for reading our long listing. Registration Details M160000230
