The Olive Press Lodge, as its name suggests, is a renovated farm house. The villa is situated on a gentle hill about 15-minute walk from the sea and the town centre. Ideal for a relaxing holiday offering an opportunity to discover the Italian Riviera. On the ground floor are the open-plan kitchen and living room with TV, stereo, DVD and internet connection. Its modern interior maintains the characteristics that once used to belong to the old country olive press. On this floor there is also a utility room with washing machine and ironing facility and a bathroom with shower. The kitchen includes dishwasher, smeg oven and hobs, kettle, coffee maker, fridge, freezer and blender. On the upper floor there are 3 double bedrooms (one with two beds) and two spacious bathrooms (one with bath and one with shower). The pool, the barbecue are easily accessible via a terrace from this level . The Olive Press Lodge also offers air conditioning and private parking. Other things to note The Olive Press Lodge is located 15-minute walk from the center of Chiavari, a lively town where you can walk through the typical "caruggi" (arcades). The shopping area stretches side by side to the local restaurants. The nearest beach is at 15-minutes walk from the Lodge. Most beaches are fully equipped with sun beds, parasoles and small bars. There is also a cycling path along the river (Entella) banks, located within 1 km away from the Lodge. Chiavari is located within the Tigullio bay, 20 km away from Portofino which has a unique National Park and and picturesque bay . Portofino is also accessible by boat with daily trips from Chiavari. This would make a wonderful excursion allowing you to see the beautiful San Frutuoso bay perched along the coast and only accessible from the sea. San Frutuoso is famous for the its abbey and the Crist of the Abyss laid at the bottom of the sea. Within 40-minutes by train you can reach the well famous Cinque Terre. Wale wathing is a very popular excursion during summer time as not far from our coasts there is a protected area for the large mammals. It's not all about sea and beaches. For those more interested in the country life, Chiavari is surrounded by gentle hills mountains and valleys, such as Val D'Aveto with a very important National Park and the Alta via dei monti Liguri a path that runs along the ridge of the ligurian mountains.
