Our dream kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook up a storm, and our large lounge and living areas are perfect for curling up in front of the fire with a good book or movie. We've got plenty of outdoor spaces to explore, including a main undercover courtyard with a large BBQ and outdoor table, deck chairs, and even a hammock for those lazy afternoons. For those looking for an adventure, we have got three bushwalks on the property, ranging from a 30-minute introduction walk down to our dam and back to a 1-hour trek down to the Abercrombie River via the boundary fence. And if bushwalking isn't your thing, there are plenty of other activities to enjoy, from 4x4 driving to wildlife spotting to star gazing. Head through the main gate off Taralga Road, follow the driveway down to the first gate. Be sure to check-in at 'The Quarter's. From there, we'll introduce ourselves and show you to your accommodation and give you the grand tour. Everything you need to know about The Barn can be easily found in the Compendium on the kitchen table when you arrive, alternatively you and your guests can visit our online Guest Access and Welcome Pack upon receiving the emailed link a week before your arrival. Other things to note When visiting Abercrombie Ridge, it's important to know that things work a little differently in the country than they do in the city. Occasionally, satellite internet is a bit temperamental, esspecially during storms and other weather events. And with the electricity, if you turn on all the lights, the clothes dryer and the Bathroom heat lamps at the same time, you're likely to trip the circuit breaker, but don't worry - it's easily sorted by turning off a few things and being mindful of what appliances you really do need on at the same time. In the summer months, we've got air conditioning to help keep you cool. Just remember to conserve power by only using it when the windows and doors are closed and you're actually inside the house. And in the cooler months, we've got plenty of wood for the indoor fireplace to create a cozy atmosphere. Please advise us first before lighting a fire! Outdoor fires unfortunately are not permitted on windy days or during total fire bans. Just a note, we spend months each year cutting and splitting wood for our indoor fireplaces, please do not burn our split wood in any of the outdoor firepits.
