Comfortable Design-Stay - 5 min to Lake Starnberg

The LAKE apartment is located in our historic 1890 coach house, just a five-minute walk from Lake Starnberg and around 200 m from the Possenhofen S-Bahn station – Munich can be reached in about 30 minutes. The ground-floor apartment offers a private terrace, a separate bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of space for two guests. The coach house includes three apartments (LAKE, MOUNTAIN, FOREST), which can be booked individually or in combination. The space Over 150 years ago, while Empress Sisi spent her childhood in Possenhofen Castle, the duke’s personal physician built Villa Fischer. On its grounds stands the listed Remise, originally a horse stable and coach house. In 2015, we – Katrein and Gregor – restored it in consultation with the heritage authorities and converted it into three high-quality holiday apartments. During the renovation, we focused on design, comfort and ecological materials. All apartments feature solid oak floors from local woodlands, designer beds and selected vintage furniture. Walls are painted with water-based colours by Little Greene. Bathrooms are equipped with ecological products from “Stop the Water While Using Me”. Bed linen and towels are made from organic cotton. The LAKE apartment is located on the ground floor and, at 68 sqm, is the largest unit. It is ideal for two guests but can accommodate up to four with the sofa bed. Deep blue and grey tones shape the interior, which opens onto a private 16 sqm south-facing terrace with wooden decking. We love life on Lake Starnberg. The beauty of nature. The proximity to the mountains. The lake on our doorstep, the forest behind the house and the S-Bahn around the corner to get to and from Munich quickly. And we love our home in the ‘Villa Fischer’, right next door to the Remise. Nevertheless, we enjoy travelling the world a lot and are happy to live in tasteful and comfortable rooms. We approached the renovation of the Remise with this in mind. The flats are furnished in such a way that our friends and guests feel as comfortable in them as we do.
