The Masson House - Manor & SPA in Burgundy

A family home and former hunting lodge with 2 swimming pools (summer & winter), this house full of authenticity and charm, which was built in 1777, is located in Burgundy, in the heart of Brionnais, in the village of Melay. Located next to the church and overlooking the village, the house with its park enjoys a wonderful serenity and a view overlooking the village and the surrounding countryside. Shops (supermarket, deli, cafe and tobacconist) are within easy walking distance. The space Weekend rental: arrival on Friday 5 p.m. & check-out on Sunday 5 p.m. The house, consisting of 8 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, has retained many 18th century architectural, furniture and decor elements while having great occupancy comfort for an enlarged group. The large kitchen with its central island ideal for aperitifs, the large dining room and its monumental fireplace (annual maintenance done so you can use it, wood available) and the small living room will allow you to enjoy the conviviality of the place with ease, with family or friends. The indoor tables (kitchen and dining room) and garden tables have 16 seats. 7 double bedrooms (160 beds) located upstairs and 1 bedroom on the ground floor (convenient for people bothered by the stairs) offer comfortable accommodation capacity for 15 people. 4 of the bedrooms are en suite with their private bathroom, and 2 bedrooms can accommodate families with bunk beds for children (a total of 6 beds of 90cm ) as well as1 bb bed. 1 large shared bathroom on the ground floor serves the family rooms. 1 additional shower located in the aquatic area available. The 5000m2 park is embellished with a large pergola and a large table for shaded summer meals, a plancha, a swing, a hammock and sunbeds, a trampoline, a ping pong table. ● an outdoor summer pool - unheated - accessible from June 15 to September 15. Renovation in progress that will be completed by summer 2026. ● a covered aquatic area in an annex (the old stables) facing the house with: - a heated indoor pool accessible from September 1 to June 30 (at 28-29°) - a large sauna for 8/10 people and a shower. - Sliding floor-to-ceiling windows opening into the garden in case of good weather. In accordance with the new Airbnb policy, parties and major events cannot be allowed in our locations. VILLAGE FESTIVALS IN MELAY => 08/14 and 15 with a large humorous costume parade, ball, fair, garage sales, refreshments and snacks are also on the program. Large meal planned for the evening of August 15 with the inhabitants of the village (remember to book in advance with the town hall) Guest access The property is rented in its entirety. Access to the summer pool and the aquatic area in the annex opposite the house (indoor sauna and spa pool) is exclusively reserved for residents of the property. Other things to note Additional services, pricing and miscellaneous information: The house is offered in free management with cleaning at the end of the stay included (excluding dishes and fridge to be cleaned). Bed linen can also be provided: • Bed linen for all beds: 200€/stay (Beds to be made) • For the baby bed = bring your own sheets. • Bathroom towels: €60 for the entire cottage (1 towel per person) IMPORTANT => SUPPLEMENT TO BE PAID ON ARRIVAL: given the increases in the price of energy, an energy surcharge is applied in particular for the heating of the indoor pool and sauna from OCTOBER 1st => MAY 30th = • €75/day for a 2-day stay • €50/day from 3 days of rental.
