Description

Our homey Little House is a special place, on the north side of Mount Etna, far from the crowds. Enjoy the quiet of the countryside here, relaxing on the large terrace, listening to the birds. The attached Cactus garden is impressive. The Little House is in an ideal location for exploring Mt Etna, visiting wineries and other sights. It is 500 metres from the town. We can give you tips and answer your questions. We only accept guests that come with a rental car or with their own car. The space Description of the guest house: For 2 people, one bedroom, complete kitchen with fridge, complete bathroom with shower and washing machine, silent air conditioning and heating, sunroom, terrace, grass garden. Attached to a green house with 500 species of cacti. The double bed can be separated into 2 single beds, if necessary. There is Wifi inside the house. There is also Wifi in the spacious gardens. There is a barbeque on the terrace. We live in a quiet neighborhood 500 meters outside of Linguaglossa. Our guest house is on our private land of 10,000 square meters, which is full of fruit trees, an olive grove and a vineyard. We produce our own wine and olive oil, which you are welcome to taste. There is a small supermarket at a 7 minute walk from here. In the town there are pubs, bars, restaurants and 2 other supermarkets. Linguaglossa is famous for its sausages, breads and sweets. From the Catania airport follow the signs to A18, which is the autostrada, towards Messina. Here is a little tip for not getting lost. Just after you leave the airport area, you will go down a ramp (a bridge) that curves to the left. Stay on the LEFT side of that downwards ramp. You will merge onto a straight highway. Follow the signs to "Tangenziale A18". Tangenziale is a beltway that goes around Catania and takes you to the toll booth on the highway Catania-Messina A18. The toll booth is about 15 minutes after leaving the airport, if traffic is normal. Take a ticket at the toll booth and go towards Messina. Once on the motorway, the first exit is Acireale, the second is Giarre, the third is Fiumefreddo. It takes about 25 minutes from the toll booth in Catania to the Fiumefreddo exit, which is 10 kilometers after the Giarre exit. Exit at Fiumefreddo and pay the toll, which is about 1,10 euros. There is a rotary about 30 meters after the toll booth. Go 3/4 around it towards Linguaglossa and begin to go up the mountain. There are 10 minutes of winding roads and then you will go through a town called Piedimonte Etneo. The next town is Linguaglossa, 7 kilometers after Piedimonte Etneo. Linguaglossa is located at 550 meters above sea level. The air is light and cool. It is unique because it is 20 minutes from Mt Etna, 20 minutes from the sea and 1 hour from Catania. So, you get the best of all aspects of Sicily. Guest access Private access Other things to note We have upgraded our wifi. There is full wifi access in the guest house. Browsing speed is very good. However, uploading and downloading files is slow in this area, compared to ADSL in big cities. If you need to download movies, it is more convenient to do so before arriving. The air conditioning-heating unit is silent. Registration Details Exempt
