Casa da Barroca is a bright, top-floor 2 Bedroom / 2 Bathroom loft on Rua da Barroca 11, in the heart of Bairro Alto. Double-height ceilings and skylights flood the space with light. Fully equipped kitchen, washer, fast Wi-Fi and air-conditioning. Sleeps up to 6 (2 queens + quality sofa bed). Note: historic building, no elevator. The space The loft has a total area of 120m2, which includes 75m2 of open space (kitchen, dining and living areas), a suite of 25m2 and a second suite of 20m2. The interior is sharp and sophisticated, recently designed by myself together with a Dutch designer. The apartment has high-ceilings with angular and asymmetric lines, giving it lot of character. The open space is on the street side of the building, it has one main double door with a small french balcony, and four ceiling windows that can be opened automatically. The bedroom suites are on the inner side of the building and each has two large windows to the inner yard so you can sleep very quietly. They both have a private bathroom, with a toilet, sink, bidet, large mirror, large shower and automatic roof-windows (yes, we have natural light in the bathroom :) ). Furthermore, all areas have air-conditioning, central heating, wireless internet, windows that can be closed to complete darkness, and are double-glassed with excellent sound isolation. This is absolutely necessary to sleep well and quietly in this neighbourhood, if you are light- and sound-sensitive like we are. It's fun to live in Bairro Alto but one needs to rest quietly. At ours, you will find close-to-total sound isolation, and you will be able to sleep like a baby. Overall the loft will give you a spacious and luxurious feeling. From waking up with a Nespresso and the sun on your dining table, from taking a rain shower and sliding in your elegant outfit to enjoy the city life of Lisbon! Feel very welcome to our "Casa da Barroca" :)) Guest access You have access to the entire apartment and its amenities, except for a couple of closets that we locked so we can store our own things while we are hosting you. We actually live in this apartment. :) Other things to note - As your hosts, we are legally required to register the ID details of all our guests with the Immigration and Borders Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. According to Portuguese law, if you are unable to present a valid ID (Passport or EU National ID card), we will not be able to host you. - Take in account that in the evenings our neighbours may be sleeping, so please do not make much noise in the staircase. - Mi casa es su casa: this will be your home for the dates you are choosing.
