In the heart of the Dordogne Valley, facing the chateaux of Beynac, Castelnaud, and Marqueyssac, a family home opens its shutters to you. A former farmhouse of Château de Marqueyssac, this charming residence is nestled in the heart of a 6-hectare family estate, rated 5★ by the Périgord Noir Tourist Office. It includes two houses, one of which is that of our hosts. We are present and discreet most of the time. The space Carefully restored, this estate houses two family homes, shared between their owners, their two cats, and their guests. The house combines the authenticity of the Périgord — exposed beams and blonde stones — with elegant and warm decor: family furniture, carefully selected, and objects chosen one by one. The atmosphere is simple, gentle, and comforting. You feel privileged there from the very first moment. Fully independent, it accommodates up to 10 guests in five bedrooms spread over three levels. On the ground floor: A large single-level suite with direct access to the terrace and an en-suite bathroom (double sink, bathtub, shower). A bright living room with open kitchen and a cozy dining room, opening to the outdoors on both sides. An adjoining, very well-equipped pantry. An elegant living room with beautiful exposed beams, with 2 sofas, a beautiful coffee table with old parquet, and a majestic stone fireplace and wood-burning stove. On the 1st floor: Two double bedrooms — one with an ensuite bathroom (bathtub, double sink, toilet), the other with a private shower room (walk-in shower, sink, toilet). On the top floor: A double bedroom under the roof slopes. An ideal bedroom for children with two single beds and a beautiful view of the valley. A shared bathroom (shower, double sink, toilet). A separate toilet on the ground floor. A private laundry room (washing-machine, dryer) — ideal for extended stays. Outside: Two very well-equipped stone terraces with 2 large tables and chairs for 8/10 people that surround the house. A large garden opening onto the valley, shaded corners for reading, dreaming or sharing a candlelit dinner. The salt pool (5 x 15 m) has a 360-degree view! It is open to guests from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. The large pool house with equipped kitchen and indoor and outdoor table with 8 high-quality sun loungers. The spectacular view, the vegetable garden, the fish pond and the bocce court make up a peaceful, lively, poetic scene. We have four chickens and two cats that are part of the place, along with the goldfish! 5 minutes from Beynac and Castelnaud, 5 minutes from La Roque-Gageac, 15 minutes from Sarlat — right in the center of the wonders of the Périgord Noir.
