Whether it’s a romantic getaway, a few days of individual solitude, or an exciting new family adventure, our homely cottage can accommodate up to four guests with its main bedroom and a separate queen-sized pull-out couch. Cook at your leisure in the fully equipped kitchen complete with all modern conveniences, and take in the hillside views while relaxing on the deck under a starlit sky. You needn’t worry about chilly winter nights here; an indoor pellet stove is at your disposal offering a cozy vibe, or why not brave the brisk outdoors with a dip in the newly installed private hot tub? Sheltered in complete privacy and tranquility, the only other guests that may pop by are the local deer, boar, turkey, and maybe even some big cats! As husband and wife host team, our own family home is also separately located on the property, meaning we’re just a stone’s throw away should you need any assistance, and we’re only too happy to offer suggestions on things to do in Carmel Valley. Your adventure begins on the narrow, winding road towards the cottage, with a crossing through Cachagua Creek, which is usually fully flowing in the Spring. The keys will be waiting for you in the cottage door lock, and we will be ready to greet you upon your arrival, before leaving you to bask in the serenity of your surroundings. Details to note: ➢ Due to our unique driveway which requires you to pass through a creek, guests with low-clearance vehicles should reach out for advice on transport suitability. Rest assured, we will do everything that we can to help with your travel arrangements ➢ Your cell phone reception will drop once you are within 10-15 minutes of the cottage (unless you have AT&T wireless service) ➢ Please note that although we have Starlink satallie internet access, your experience may vary depending on weather conditions We can be as available as you need but will default to giving you your privacy unless requested otherwise. Our family will be your neighbors, and we are happy to assist if anything comes up. It is peaceful, quiet, just lovely. Perfect for bird watching, discovering wildlife, and listening to the flowing water. Locals are friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We are biased but couldn't ever think to leave our little slice of heaven. Public transit is limited to non-existent so a car is a must have! Preferably an SUV, truck, or 4x4 vehicle for the smoothest ride but it is not mandatory. However, low-riding sports cars will not be able to use our driveway. Reach out if you have questions on this.
