Description

Perfect for a romantic break away on the beautiful Yorkshire coast, this holiday home is a delightful one-bedroom cottage set all on one level, within the spacious grounds of Silkstone Hall in the village of Hinderwell. Close to the village pub and the coast, the cottage is ideally situated for exploring all of the surrounding coastal resorts and the North York Moors. This is a great base for those that love walking and cycling, and the cottage is pet friendly too. The space Furnished to a high standard, the open-plan living area with its wood burner is a lovely room to relax in after a busy day out and about. Once the flames are roaring, settle back on the two-seater sofa and switch on the Smart TV for an evening of relaxation. In the mornings, turn on the coffee machine and make breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen, before eating at the spacious dining table. The large patio area provides the ideal spot for enjoying an al fresco evening meal and the cosy double bedroom is a comfortable and welcoming retreat at the end of the day. An en-suite shower room ensures you’ll stay refreshed and a laundry room enables you to do all your washing whilst away. Hinderwell is just a small hamlet but it’s a beautiful spot for a relaxing break away. Quiet and charming, it’s full of old stone cottages and thatched houses that characterise these types of small Yorkshire villages. Just 1.5 miles from both Staithes and Runswick Bay (in opposite directions), you’ll be well placed for visiting popular coastal hotspots. There’s a post office and a general store in the village and a bus service runs regularly to Whitby, meaning you won’t have to worry about finding a space in one of the busy car parks. Head to Whitby (9 miles) and learn all about Captain Cook, Dracula and fossil hunting.
