Iridescence is the reflection of light to create a beautiful pattern. Iridescence Getaway is designed as a reflection of some of the things God has done in us to reflect His Glory. You will see our passions, those God has developed in us, as we live out His Word for the world. The Worship Room is the reflection of artists we enjoy who encourage and inspire us to give more, live more and rejoice more in our Creator God. The Service Room is the reflection of our passion to serve with our lives to defend the right to freely worship and Glorify God openly. We recognize the men and women who daily give of themselves so we can simply say these words out loud legally. May we never take for granted what has cost so much! The Science Room is the reflection to study our Creator God in the world around us. The Biblical Authority Room is the reflection of our passion to share with the world the Truth of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation! The Gifts floor is reflective of some of the gifts we have been given. Explore a few of our ideas and remember the many gifts God has given to you. Step up to the microphone, prepare to launch, embrace a calling and delve into the Truth so you may walk away inspired to live your passion out loud! You were created for this! Welcome to Iridescence Getaway. ~ A Crazy Faith Family! The setup: The top floor is 4 bedrooms 2 full bathrooms and a laundry room. The Biblical Accuracy room has a queen bed, twin size daybed and twin trundle. The Worship and Service rooms each have a queen bed. The Science room has two bunk bed sets with one having a full size bottom bunk. All beds have sheets, blankets and pillows, with the windows having room darkening curtains. The bottom floor has 3 adjoining rooms and a full bathroom. You walk down into the first bedroom equipped with TV and DVD player, a shelf with games, reading materials, and DVD’s. There is a bar height table with 6 chairs. There is a twin size daybed with twin trundle. This trundle pops up to match heights with the day bed and make a king size bed. The next bedroom has a queen bed and full/twin bunk bed set. The bedroom and living room space are only separated by an 8 foot wide barn door. The 7th bedroom is connected to the full bathroom and has a twin/twin bunkbed set. Each bathroom has a shower/tub combo with full vanity. There are plenty of towels, handsoap and toilet paper for your stay. The entry level floor opens into the living room complete with comfortable couches and chairs, TV and DVD player, and WiFi connection point. The Living room opens onto the deck overlooking the meadow-like back yard. It also wraps around to the dining room with expandable table before the padded window seat with 4 chairs. Should you need more seating, there are an additional 16 folding chairs and 2-8 foot folding tables in the garage for your use. There is a small half bathroom attached to the kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with dishes, bowls, glasses, mugs and silverware for 20. There is a full set of pots and pans, knives and cutting board, cooking utensils, serving bowls, colander, baking sheets and pans, pie pans, etc. We’ve tried to include everything to cook for a group of 20. We’ve provided a coffee maker, hand mixer, crock pot, electric skillet, Keurig, and electric hot water pot. The garage has an Air Hockey and Foosball table. We have also added a Treasure Room hunt. Test your knowledge and creativity to see if your group can break the code - and access the prize! Feel free to leave a memento from your group and take one to remember your trip. Additionally there is a treat to share with your group. A few things to know: No Pets. God created ALL creatures ~ including your beloved pets! But they are NOT welcome guests at the GetAway. We are allergic to animals!!! Please do not damage our ability to enjoy our own home by including your pets in your stay. We also keep the house 100% pet free to provide a space for immune compromised people who can not go to other places. Help us serve them. Do not bring your beloved animals. The house is equipped with full HVAC, including a separate system for the bottom floor. But the top floor does get hotter (in summer) and stay colder (in winter). There are ceiling fans in each room to help move air. 20 people use a lot of hot water. There is only one hot water tank (sorry this is an all electric house and a tankless option isn’t available yet). Be mindful of when you wash dishes, do laundry and take showers. There are towel hooks in each bathroom and a drying rack in the laundry room. There are plenty of bath and hand towels. They can all be found in the laundry room. Move the furniture as it suits your group. Please just return it to where it came from when you leave. Guest access Guests have access to the entire getaway, parking and outside play area. The house sits on an acre of meadow-like land in a residential community. Other things to note What makes this place different? The comfort, the space, the beauty… The house is set up to be a retreat center - able to handle the 100's of guests a year we host. While being an extension of your day at the Ark Encounter or Creation Museum it is also very practical. Each room has blankets we have made to snuggle under but remind you of the promise God has made to us. Each room includes displays to provoke thought. We have also included all the things we want when we travel. When we go anywhere, it’s a challenge to have enough space. So, we have set up the rooms to meet our needs: For grandma and grandpa to have a space, the kids to have a place to play, and of course everything we need to cook a big family meal to draw everyone together around the table. Our family has stayed for 10 days while in the area and enjoyed BBQ's, campouts, basketball and of course the gorgeous scenery! We are only 8 minutes to the ARK and 40 minutes to the Creation Museum. We've visited each a dozen times and it's never boring!!!
