Description
Shape your guest experience in a 2000sqf property boasting period furniture and a killer balcony view over the most iconic Old Town's square. Heritage sites like Giotto's frescoes or St. Anthony's church, as well as the best spots for foodies and winelovers, are within short walking distance, while a lively market takes place every day right at the doorstep. WiFi, a/c, laundry room. No traffic area, guests can make use of a closeby paid parking. The railway station is just a 15 min stroll away. The space A lodger once wrote: "The view is mesmerizing. The balcony doesn't really face the square, it's right on it. You're so incredibly close to the market stalls or the cafe tables that if you keep staring down.. the square swallows you up". I wouldn't go so dramatic, but the balcony view is definitely a key factor. Guest access The whole place is for guests only. Other things to note The flat is on the first floor*, there's no elevator and it takes 22 steps to get to the entrance. [*] unlike in the US, in Italy (and almost all european countries) we call ground floor the street-level floor - where the frontgate stands - and first floor the next floor up, and so on. This can trip up non EU guests, since their countries often go by a different set of rules: the entrance floor is usually referred to as the first floor, the first floor as the second floor and so on. If that applies to you as well, kind reader, my place stands on the second floor ;-) Despite overlooking a lively square, bedrooms are in the back and assure a restful and peaceful sleep. Guests driving to Padua can take advantage of a private indoor parking located nearby within the ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone). More info > getting around section. 3 day minimum booking applies to Easter, Labor Day, August 15th, Christmas and New Year's Eve. Guests wishing to visit the Scrovegni Chapel had better book in advance their ticket on-line. Any trouble with the booking process, I'll take care of that. Just ask :-) The occupancy tax (aka "city tax" or "tourist tax") levied by the town of Padua, equal to 2.5€ per person per night (up to a max of 5 consecutive nights, it only applies to >15yrs old guests), is not included in the rental nor it is possible otherwise due to a quite annoying lack of agreement between the booking platforms and the municipality. It will therefore be collected at the check-in, and a tax receipt will be issued. Sorry for the inconvenience. Registration Details IT028060C2HZ7D6LSO
