The countryside 15 minutes from Bordeaux without a car... Located in one of Bordeaux's most prestigious appellations, Villa Bordeaux Grand Cru is 15 minutes by tram from the centre of Bordeaux, in a calm and relaxing environment. From the beginning of June to the end of September, rental is for a minimum of 7 nights, with arrival on Saturday. At other times of the year, rentals are for 3 nights or more. AROUND Situated in one of the most prestigious wine producing regions of France, the villa sits in an ideal section of Bordeaux that’s close to the countryside as well as the city center. Less than an hour away from UNESCO World Heritage Site St. Emilion and coastal playground Cap Ferrat, it’s also just a two hour drive to Biarritz. LOCATION Bordeaux -Martillac, France Guest access Anywhere from Bordeaux, from Merignac and from Paris take the “rocade” ( ringroad). Drive on the direction of the motorway A62/E72 then take the “rocade” exit A62/E72 TOULOUSE/AGEN. This is a speedway but not yet the motorway. Take exit Nr 1: Cadaujac,Martillac. At the roundabout take the first road on your right. You are now on the D113: Avenue de Toulouse. Drive 2.1 km until you see on your right hand a garage with second hands cars named Chocs Wagen. Turn left exactly in front of this garage. You are on rue de Matasset, drive ahead for 700m till the stop. Drive straight on the route Jean de Ramon, then drive 300m, the house with red shutters ( Nr. 31), is on your right hand. Other things to note The house has very recently been renovated in a resolutely contemporary style, where vintage blends with more classic styles and Farrow & Ball English paints. The house has been designed with the environment in mind, using low-energy light bulbs and environmentally-friendly cleaning products. The garden has been redesigned by a landscape gardener to respect the century-old trees while providing modern comforts.
