Nothing is left to chance when it comes to the health and safety of our valued guests. Located at Poppa's Olives - a working olive and cattle farm on over 200 acres! Poppa's Place is your perfect place to getaway from it all! With a totally unique 2 story design, it captures the most amazing sunrises and sunsets across the valley and mountain ranges. The large open-plan living style is more than spacious for 8 guests. Of the four large bedrooms, two have walk in robes and one has an ensuite with a bath that captures the most amazing valley views as you soak! One bedroom has a private balcony with a 'barn door' that rolls back, showcasing another amazing view over the valley. Have a big family? Ask us about how we cater for larger groups (there's an additional sofa bed and two day beds - just byo linen for them). Watch the kids play on the outdoor equipment as you relax around the outdoor firepit. Or enjoy the indoor open fireplace with complimentary kindling and firewood (and firestarters for the novices!). Take a leisurely stroll around the farm.. through the olive grove, around the dams, feed the cattle, horses and alpacas (they're always hungry!). The beautiful Hunter River, swimming holes and the oldest winery in Australia - Dalwood Estate (once Wyndham Estate) are just 2kms down the road! It's 5 minutes to town, 15min to Hunter Vineyards and concert venues, 40min to Newcastle Beaches (and Newcastle Airport) and 2hrs from Sydney. So ... Come and getaway from it all, in the heart of the beautiful wine region! Guest access Make yourself at home! Feel free to walk through the olive grove and enjoy nature at it's best! Our livestock include cattle, horses and alpacas (and of course, dogs and chickens!) - who all enjoy attention and being fed by our wonderful guests! (Just mind the cow pats!) Prefer an outdoor fire? Not a problem! We have a fantastic rustic outdoor fire pit at Poppa's Place, with complimentary firewood to get you started. For the cavemen, you can grab the wheelbarrow and gather the wood yourself! For serious fireflies, we can supply additional wood for $50 per load (fire regulations permitting - just check with us). And please be mindful - if you're all having lots of showers morning and night, you may run out of hot water... Welcome to farm life! Other things to note We accommodate 8 guests comfortably, but are able to cater for more (price is for 8 guests). Additional guests considered on application and are $50 per person per night. No Smoking inside the home. Please correctly dispose of any cigarette butts (especially during fire season). Let your feet have a rest too - leave your shoes inside the front entrance.
