You are walking distance to the long beaches of Seacliff and Rio Del Mar. Whether you are a young family with kids or a group of friends for looking for a peaceful casual escape, this house is for you. TOT#CO01873 The space The Seacliff Family Beach House is ready for you, your family, and friends to roll in with groceries and a swim suit. We have tried to anticipate your needs and have a vacation ready property. You will enjoy the entire house and a great backyard. There is a great outdoor space to enjoy the salt air. You can porch sit in the front yard or relax in the back. We provide a Weber gas grill for guest use. We also love a good fire at night so we have a fire pit. The outdoor table is a great spot to enjoy a meal in the mild climate of Santa Cruz. The house is especially well equipped for families with a pack 'n play, high chair, large playmat, a portable playard (a gate enclosure), toddler bedrails, childrens toys and books. The backyard is enclosed and a lovely spot for kids to play in the outdoors. No need to fret about all the sand that comes along with a beach vacation. There is an outdoor shower with hot water and a handheld shower end to wash away the sand (especially for the littles). There is also a shop vacuum in the garage to help with sand removal in your car. The house is walking distance to Seacliff State Beach. If you prefer to drive we have a parking pass that is for guest use. There, you will find miles of beach to play in the water, boogie board, surf fish, BBQ, and explore. Capitola Beach and esplanade are less than 2 miles away and at low tide you can walk the coast from Seacliff Beach to Capitola. For runners, the house is only a few miles from the start of Wharf to Wharf and Fleet Feet Sports is a wonderful resource for local runs and races. Santa Cruz county is known for its fabulous produce and farms. There are several farms that have seasonal u-pick for apples, strawberries and other berries. We have canning supplies for jams, jellies and pickling (bring your own jars or purchase at the local hardware store). Kayaking is available at the Santa Cruz Wharf and also in Monterey. Monterey and the Monterey Bay Aquarium make for a lovely day trip. We have new beach chairs, beach toys, beach towels, and a wagon to make it easy. Activities Besides the world famous Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Santa Cruz boasts world class mountain biking and hiking through the redwood forest. The Forest of Nisene Marks, a great place to hike, run, picnic, or mountain bike with over 30 miles of trails is a local favorite. There is also world class surfing through out the county. If you enjoy golfing, Santa Cruz has you covered there as well. There are 3 golf courses to explore. The house is in a great location for long bicycle rides (visit the Santa Cruz County Cycling Club ride library for a sampling) and the garage is available for storage of bikes and gear when you are done for your ride. Guest access The house is equipped with a new TV wired with a Roku. From that you can watch Netflix and Amazon Prime TV. We have fast wifi, so you can check in and post pictures of your relaxing vacation. We also have a new washer and dryer, with fragrance free soap. All of our cleaning products are fragrance free. We have plenty of soft towels and comfy blankets. After a long day of exploring Santa Cruz you can come home and feel right at home. Other things to note The Seacliff Beach House is not suitable for parties. The space is a welcoming stress free area. You will feel right at home, when you arrive. We love our neighbors, and want to keep it that way, so we ask that you respect quiet hours.
