Cosy Romantic Cottage with Meadows & Gorgeous View

Woodpecker Cottage is perched on a peaceful hillside with panoramic views over patchwork fields & the Teifi River Valley. A romantic, peaceful adult only couples countryside retreat. The barn-conversion cottage is full of character with beams & wood burning stove but also modern touches like high speed wi-fi, luxury bedlinen, EV Charger & stylish furnishings. Surrounded by green meadows, our location is a haven for wildlife with red kites, woodpeckers, hedgehogs & hares frequently seen. The space The open plan living area has a comfy sofa as well as table and chairs for dining. The cottage has lovely underfloor heating throughout as well as a wood burning stove for cosy nights in. For entertainment there is a Smart TV with Freeview and access to Apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube and BBC iPlayer (using your own subscriptions) as well as a DVD player. Free high-speed Fibre WiFi is also included so you can stay connected. The kitchen area is fully equipped for self-catering with oven, hob, full size fridge & freezer and a dishwasher as well as kettle, toaster & microwave. We provide teabags, coffee & sugar along with a welcome basket of essential food items to get you started. If you have any special dietary requirements (e.g. vegan or gluten-free) do let us know. We also supply essentials like oil, salt, pepper, herbs, washing up liquid, hand wash, kitchen roll, foil, cling film & dishwasher tablets for you to use during your stay. The luxury bathroom has underfloor heating and a big double-ended bath plus a separate modern walk-in shower. Shower gel, bubble bath and toilet paper are provided. You have a patio for outside dining and watching the sunset and a path from the patio leads to two private garden meadows you can take in the countryside views and watch wildlife. There is also a seating area in the meadow at the front of the cottages where you can meet our friendly pet sheep. Also on site, just a minutes' walk from the cottage is our luxury birdwatching cabin - Misty Heights. We built it from scratch to be a peaceful, cosy space for watching and photographing the woodland birds that live around the cottages. It features underfloor heating, high speed WiFi, electric sockets & charging points, comfortable chairs and tea & coffee facilities. We get woodpeckers, nuthatches, goldfinches, chaffinches, coal tits, bullfinches, long-tailed tits and treecreepers as well as the more common garden birds. It is available for guests to hire for exclusive private use for a few hours or for a whole day. If you are into bird photography, Leigh can also give you tips to help you get the best pictures and he also offers workshops. Guest access You have your own dedicated parking space at the front of Coedmor Cottages. We have a 7KW Electric Vehicle charger available for guests to use (chargeable at current domestic electricity rates). There are two private picnic meadows where you can relax and enjoy the fabulous views and watch the wildlife. Each meadow has a picnic table for alfresco dining and Garden Meadow is particularly well placed to watch the stunning sunsets. Please note, our cottage is only suitable for adults, no bookings accepted for children or infants - sorry. Other things to note There is so much to do within easy reach of the cottage. Here are a few ideas... Natural Wonders: Lakes at Elan Valley and Llyn Brianne and the Cambrian Mountains and Brecon Beacons are perfect for walking. Cardigan Bay: World class beaches like Penbryn, LLangrannog & Mwnt that are much quieter than other parts of the UK as well as quaint harbour towns like Aberaeron and New Quay with Dolphin Watching trips to see the UK's largest pod. Cycling: Many wonderful road routes through Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion as well as special mountain bike trails through the forest at Brechfa & Abergorlech.
