Modern Mountain Estate on five beautiful wooded acres, nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Located in the town of Alta, it is a short distance to Boreal Ridge and Sugar Bowl ski resorts and just 40 miles from the town of Truckee. We live in this home with our pets and have two beautiful bedrooms available upstairs with in suite bathrooms with shared Shower/tub with private entry from each bedroom. Sugar Bowl is 31 miles Squaw Valley / Alpine Meadows is 49 miles For hiking the Stevens Trail, located in Colfax is a popular year-round hiking trail in the lower elevations of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. The current trail extends 4.5 miles along the northwestern slope of the North Fork of the American River Canyon. Features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. Hiking, fishing (lakes & rivers), rafting, the PCT, boating, skiing & snowboarding even rock climbing are all within 30 minutes of Alta.
