The space Important: This accommodation is not suitable for the elderly, obese, or those with mobility issues. From the parking lot to the villa, there are approximately 120 steps downhill. It is strongly recommended to avoid heavy and bulky luggage. Notice: According to local legislation, for stays of up to 3 nights it is necessary to pay the Tourist Tax of €3 per person per night, beyond 3 nights you do not pay. Children under 10 years old do not have to pay the tourist tax. You have to pay the Tourist Tax by cash when you will be here. Please read through to the end, there are very important things to consider before booking. Villa Corbezzolo is an ancient manor house, typical of the Ligurian territory. Expertly restored about 30 years ago by the architect Mirella Scalfaro, it has kept its charm intact: painted with natural pigments of a characteristic antique rose, entirely paved in slate (typical Ligurian stone), spacious and bright rooms, separated by stairways immersed in greenery. Guests to the Villa Corbezzolo will find a refined and exclusive environment, nevertheless characterized by the sort of warm environment that only a family-run establishment can offer. The villa is composed as follows: a ground floor with kitchen, breakfast - dining room, living room facing the sea and beautiful park, with outdoor area for dining and living. On the first floor is located Olives Suites, on the second floor is located Panoramic Room, on the top of Villa. The bedrooms and the living room are accessed via an external staircase. You can see the Villa's layout in the third picture of the slideshow. In the Villa Corbezzolo you will find antique furniture and authentic design pieces 60s of great value as Arco Lamp of Castiglioni, the bedside tables of Kartell or the handles Boma-Olivari, Campanino chairs, authentic works of modern art and many other curiosities. Villa Corbezzolo is located just on the Blue Path in halfway between Corniglia and Vernazza (1,5 km far both villages) in the highest spot at 208 meter above sea level. The large property includes terraces, gardens, vineyard, vegetable garden with several idyllic spots to relax in absolute peace. It is situated on a cliff that plunges into the sea, south-facing between Corniglia and Vernazza. All around the house there are olive and fruits trees, vineyards and mediterranean plants. The Villa has been renovated with taste and simplicity, trying to preserve as much as possible its historical roots. The property includes a relaxing garden terrace overlooking the sea with outdoor dining area and a barbecue area with stunning views of Corniglia and Manarola. The Guests will have in exclusive use the kitchen fully equipped, the large Fisherman Hall, the gardens and terraces. ROOMS LAYOUT In the Olive Suite there are 3 double rooms with 3 double beds, 1 double sofa bed (mattress length: 200 cm - width: 160 cm) and 1 bunk bed. Panoramic Room have 1 double bed and 1 sofa bed (mattress length: 200 cm - width: 160 cm). VERY IMPORTANT 1: Like all around the Mediterranean coast, in the 5 Terre are found many insects such as mosquitoes, bees, wasps, sand flies etc. Therefore it is strongly recommended to apply insect repellents after sunset. Please note that there aren't mosquitos screens in the rooms. VERY IMPORTANT 2: Check-in is from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, unless another time is agreed at least three days before arrival. After this time, a charge of €100 will be made for each additional hour or fraction of an hour. VERY IMPORTANT 3: Parties of any kind, bangs, fireworks, noise and loud music are absolutely prohibited. After midnight it is necessary to respect the rest of the neighbors, turn off the music and avoid noise. VERY IMPORTANT 4: The kitchen must be left clean as it is found. If it is left dirty or in a mess, a penalty will be required, commensurate with the conditions in which it is left. *********************************** Villa Corbezzolo is sublet pursuant to art. 53 of the Tourism Code Legislative Decree no. 79/2011, and therefore of the Civil Code. As seven sentences have already established (3 of the Justice of the Peace of La Spezia and 4 of the Tax Commission), this property is not subject to the obligation to possess and display the regional/provincial code, and therefore not even the CIN code. Guest access All property will be at your disposal. Other things to note PARKING Villa Corbezzolo has 2 parking spaces. From the parking lot to Villa Corbezzolo there are about 100 steps. VERY IMPORTANT: Parties of any kind, bangs, fireworks, noise and loud music are absolutely prohibited. After midnight it is necessary to respect the rest of the neighbors, turn off the music and avoid noise. + IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATION: bring mosquito spray with you! As throughout Italy and in the Mediterranean sea in the Cinque Terre there are many insects: mosquitoes, bees, wasps, sand flies and much more. There are not particular problems if you use mosquito spray before sunset and during the night (and during the day if you are allergic). We suggest products based on Picaridin, a biocidal product, like Autan Family Care or Autan Tropical. We advise against the use of repellent candles: in these areas they are little or not effective at all. Please note that there aren't mosquito nets in the rooms. HOT WATER In our Villa hot water is supplied by 3 electric boilers with a capacity of 80 liters each one. As the electric boiler takes about 1.5 hours to heat the water, it is necessary to use hot water sparingly (short showers, open the hot water tap the minimum necessary, etc.). If a guest uses a lot of hot water the other guests will have to wait about 1.5 hours before having more hot water. ELECTRIC ENERGY Our Villa has an electrical power of 5,2kw (the maximum allowed for a private home). If this limit is exceeded, the main switch is released and the electric power no longer works and the main switch must be switched on again. Therefore electrical equipment must be used taking into account this limit. EXAMPLE OF SIMULTANEOUS ELECTRICY CONSUMPTION 1 hairdryer consumes 2kw 3 boiler for hot water consumes 3kw 1 microwave consumes 1.8kw Already these devices exceed the allowed limit, so remember to use them sparingly. The electricy main switch is located on the first floor, behind the entrance door. Danger: do not use the electricy main switch with wet hands and barefoot. Only adults can access to electricy main switch. When the electricity consumption has exceeded the limit of more than 1 kw it is necessary to wait about an hour before electricy main switch can be switched on again. Until now no one has ever complained about these aspects because all our guests have given serious consideration to these instructions. We invite you to do the same.
