Description
Chosen as one of the Sunday Times '50 coolest cottages in the UK' & The Telegraph's 52 'affordable gems' in 2022 Jack's Cottage is a cosy cottage for two, bursting with character, with stone floors, wooden beams and an open range fire. Enjoying all mod cons including free wifi and an enclosed sunny garden, arrive with just your suitcase - Longnor has a newly refurbished pub, two cafes, a five star chippy, Post Office and a village store and all the delights of Buxton just ten minutes away! The space We will continue with all our infection control measures and best-practice Covid-secure cleaning between guest stays and have committed to AirBnB's enhanced cleaning protocols. As part of this, all non single use items have been removed from the cottage including grocery items in the kitchen, and whilst we will provide sachets for that first cup of tea or coffee, please bring your favourite tea and coffee, condiments and cooking oil. Single use washing up 'cleaning packs' will be provided, together with tea towels and all bed linen and towels and individual hair and body products in the shower room. The living room has an original open range fireplace ready laid on arrival and a basket of logs and coal to keep you going! Stone floors and oak beams downstairs and original wooden floorboards upstairs give the cottage a lovely heritage feel, but with a modern shower room adjacent to the bedroom, a comfy 4'6" double bed (with king size duvet) and full central heating, you'll be cosy and comfortable all year round. There is an enclosed sunny garden and patio with garden furniture. Guest access The whole cottage is yours to enjoy throughout your stay! Other things to note Jack's Cottage is strictly NO SMOKING. Please advise on booking if you wish to bring your pet. A maximum of 2 dogs are accepted for an additional £25 which we ask you to leave in the cottage if not added to your original booking request. Conditions apply including keeping pets downstairs and off the furniture and not leaving unattended in the cottage at any time. Full details on request. In keeping with the character of the cottage, there is a fairly steep, narrow stairway with handrails to the first floor and so the cottage may not be suitable for guests with restricted mobility. Babies in arms welcome, but the stone floors downstairs and steep stairs make the cottage unsuitable for toddlers. The first floor shower room adjacent to the bedroom has a fantastic shower, but no bath! All bedding, linen and towels are provided in the cottage. It is NOT possible to charge an electric car at the cottage as we do not have a dedicated charging socket, and charging from an internal socket is not permitted and will invalidate our insurance. Nearest charging points are in Buxton. Further details on request.
