Sitting atop a granite bluff overlooking beautiful Eggemoggin Reach, King's Landing has scenic views of Pumpkin Lighthouse and Little Deer Isle, set against the backdrop of East Penobscot Bay and the Camden Hills. Enjoy the afternoon sun or an evening cookout from the seaside deck while watching the sun set behind the Camden Hills. About an hour's drive to Acadia National Park. The space Originally a land grant from the King of England in the early 1600's, King's Landing overlooks a private harbor that once served as a landing for passenger steamships. Just 18 miles from Camden Harbor, home of one of the world's largest fleet of historic wooden schooners, guests may be treated to the sight of these magnificent sailing vessels passing through, reminiscent of days gone by. Guests have the use of three Private Association waterfront areas - an ocean dock, ocean bathing beach, and a lake beach on Walker Pond. Walk up to Lookout Rock for spectacular views of Eggemoggin Reach, Penobscot Bay, and the Camden Hills. Gracious and relaxing, guests return yearly. 15 minutes from Blue Hill, about an hour to Acadia National Park entrance, and 20 minutes to Stonington Village, guests are near a variety of excellent restaurants, unique shops and galleries, and easily-accessed hiking trails. Guest access There is no access to the waterfront on this property due to the steep granite ledge. Because of this guests aren't able to swim, kayak or walk along the shore at this property, however there is nearby water access that guests may use. If desiring to kayak, guests will need a roof rack or trailer for transport. Guests have access to the entire space as well as an ocean dock, ocean beach and lake beach, each a fairly short walk from the cottage. The master bedroom is located on the second floor along with a private bath. The other 3 bedrooms and full bath with shower are located on the main floor. There are 3 steps leading to the entrance door. The chair stair installed on the stairs no longer functions and is beyond repair. It will be removed however is still in place at this time. Other things to note A signed rental agreement is required to stay at this property and your email address will be requested to send the E-sign doc. Dogs cannot be accommodated due to owner's allergy. Thank you for your consideration.
