Description
No 2 Cathelyd Colliery Stables is a dog friendly property renovated from a pit pony stables. Next door is No 1 that is slightly smaller and can be booked separately on Airbnb. There are walks on the doorstep being next to the Cwm Clydach bird reserve and the cottage has its own private valley walk with a waterfall. We are situated 3 miles from J45 of the M4 with easy access to Swansea, Gower and the Brecon Beacons. The Swansea Cycle path is on the doorstep. The town is a mile away. The space The cottage has an open plan living, dining and kitchen area that has been renovated to a high standard. There is stairs to the first floor with bedroom 1 that has a king size bed and bedroom 2 that has 2 single beds 2'6". The bathroom has a shower (no bath). All rooms upstairs have sky lights and is bright and airy. Bed linen and towels provided. Wi-Fi available. Basic items such as washing up liquid, toilet rolls, hand wash are provided and a hair dryer. If you wish to light the wood burner a complimentary bag of logs, firelighters and sticks is provided. There is a charge of £5 per bag thereafter or alternatively they can be purchased from Supa Heat Fuels in the town. There is a separate lock up for bikes and other equipment. There is an outside tap on the side of the outhouse and a light switch for the outside area light. There is a private valley walk at the further end of the cottages. Other things to note The property is dog friendly and unsuitable for young children. Children are welcome but things to be aware of are: an unfenced stream in the grounds leading into a natural wooded area with fallen trees and leaf cover that can be slippery.
