The island is known for its vegetable cultivation and as a world heritage site and is the ideal starting point for numerous excursions around Lake Constance. You can reach a restaurant within a 2-minute walk (180 m) and a bakery for fresh rolls in the morning after a 10-minute walk (900 m). On foot or by bike, you can easily reach all the island's sights within a few minutes, including the monastery (1.4 km), the Minster of St. Mary and St. Mark (1.9 km) and the Church of St. Peter and Paul (4.5 km). A bus stop is just a 5-minute walk from the accommodation (500 m). From the jetty, 1.8 km away, you can make beautiful boat trips in Untersee and on the Rhine.
