I am offering 1 furnished bedroom and shared bath. The room has a large window, a nice sized closet, and wall to wall carpet. It comes equipped with a full-sized bed and a dresser with a mirror. Any of these mentioned items can be removed, if desired. Fresh linens and towels available upon request. My home is open to students and professionals who are neat, drama-free, and easy to get along with. The space The house is very sunny and has 3 stories- a finished basement with one bedroom, private bathroom, private entrance, and private parking space; the main level which consists of an eat-in kitchen and living room with smart television; and the third level which consists of 3 bedrooms and two baths. Included in the price are water, heat, electricity, parking, high-speed internet, and washer and dryer. The house is located in a newer townhouse community in Congress Heights, Southeast DC. Within walking distance from the house are several bus stops, and a shopping Plaza which contains a NEW Giant supermarket, banks, cleaners, Chipotle, Subway, IHOP, and other retail shops. Transportation: 5-10 minute walk to the bus stop: W2, W1, 94, 92; 15-20 minute walk (5 min bus ride) to the Congress Heights metro on the Green line; 15 minute drive to downtown DC (Capitol Building, National Mall, Smithsonians); and 10 minute walk to Giant grocery store and IHOP restaurant. About me: I am a MD based lawyer. I lived at the house for many years, but currently reside in Columbia with my daughter. I am laid back, really easy to get along with and very accessible. I am not a neat-freak but do want someone who is willing to clean after themselves, particularly in the common areas, and be mindful of others. Note: please no smokers or pets due to allergies. I often get inquiries from couples, if a couple does lease a single room, the rent will go up a bit in consideration of the additional utilities and wear and tear. Temporary or longer stays are welcome. For security purposes, guests should complete their airbnb profiles, including a picture. During your stay I come to the house whenever there is a new check-in. I am very accessible via text, call, Facetime and other apps for international guests :) Other things to note There is a Ring camera doorbell on the front entrance and a Ring Camera Flood light on the rear basement entrance.
