The Millenium Trail is on the edge of town, North Beach is 3 km away, several wineries/craft breweries are within a ten min drive,the famous Drake Devonshire Inn is 15 min to Wellington, and Sandbanks is 35 min away. Weekends have farmers markets, (Wellington on Saturday) festivals and art shows, drive the side roads and find artisan shops of every description, stop at a food truck or small cafe. And it is a short drive to Trenton as well, where there is the amazing Air Force Museum. A car is essential since there isn't any public transit. Bike or motorcycle is the most enjoyable way to travel in the county! We can recommend several bike rentals.
