Set on 30 acres of native bush, this character one bedroom self-catering cottage is light, airy, and comfortable with lots of unique details. The cottage also offers the ultimate in relaxation with the recent addition of two side-by-side outdoor baths. Wind down with a hot soak at the end of your day this private space is exclusively yours to enjoy. Add a basket of local provisions and discover local treasures. The space The Orchard Cottage is a lovely little retreat. With a French Country / 'Shabby Chic' feel, the style is relaxed while never compromising on comfort. Quality 100% cotton linen, a spacious bathroom with a bath, cotton towels and shower. An open living space with a cushion-filled French style day bed (trundler provides two extra single beds), lots of holiday reading and a kitchenette with everything you need for preparing light meals. There is plenty of parking space directly in front of the cottage and the driveway is kept clear for you to come and go as you please. Guest access Enjoy a bushwalk on the property down the valley to a lovely rocky bottom stream and swimming holes. Pick fruit from the little orchard when in season. Treat yourself to a hot soak in the outdoor baths, relax on the private veranda with a Weber BBQ, outdoor heating and dining table. Adventure further and enjoy some of the many attractions of this beautiful region. Tramping, caving, fishing, diving and many more natural delights are all within a short distance of the cottage. Also, close by is plenty of shopping, arts, museums and eateries. Other things to note Let us know if you would like a basket of hand-picked local provisions for 40NZD (for 2 people) to complete your stay. We'll be in touch to check a few days before your arrival and if ordered, the provisions will be available when you arrive and can be paid for in cash on arrival.
