Rental unit in Arlington

This welcoming space is the perfect getaway. Clean, private, and spacious with a king bed at one end of the room and a living room with a fold-out twin-sized sofa and desk at the other end. The apartment has a kitchenette (fridge, microwave, and coffee maker), and bathroom. Offstreet (driveway) parking for one car mere steps from your private keyed entrance. A 10 minute (0.5 mile) walk to Clarendon Station on the Orange/Silver Metro line for easy access to Washington, DC. The space Your suite has everything you will need to enjoy your time in the DC area. As you enter this lovely apartment-size suite, you will be impressed with the warm, stylish vibe. The bedroom has a comfortable king-size bed, large closet, private bathroom, living area, relaxing area, desk, and kitchenette. The dining area has a table and four chairs. The relaxing area has a fold-out large twin sofa if you need a second bed. Sit on the couch and watch the flat-screen TV. The kitchenette has all the essentials: Keurig coffee-maker, microwave, full-size fridge, and snacks for when you are too hungry to travel a few blocks to Clarendon's dozens of fabulous restaurants, shops, nightlife, and easy Metro access if you want to head into DC. UPDATE: Two guests mentioned that they found the mattress uncomfortable so we just replaced it with a beautiful king-size 12” thick memory foam Nectar mattress. We think it’s wonderful and we hope you will too. We installed a UV light filtration system to eliminate any bacteria, germs, or viruses and pathogens that could be circulating in the air handling system. We did this to protect our guests and ourselves from possible COVID19 transmission that could take place through the shared HVAC system. These upgrades are expensive to install and maintain, but worth it in the current environment, and make our space even more desired and safe to stay during a pandemic. Guest access Our house is on a corner. The separate apartment entrance is down the outside stairs off the patio on the Hudson St. side of the house. Free parking for one car is available on the parking pad on the Hudson St. side of the house. The patio is available for guest use. Other things to note Even though we do not provide breakfast, there is coffee and a coffee maker in the kitchenette. The kitchenette has a fridge, microwave, toaster oven, blender, electric skillet and coffee maker; it does NOT have a stove or dishwasher. The apartment does NOT have a separate thermostat that guests can control; we are happy to adjust temperature upon request. The apartment has a ceiling fan and space heaters to use in cold weather if needed. My family, including two children, lives upstairs. You may hear us upstairs and sometimes the floors upstairs creak. You may also sometimes get a whiff of something cooking upstairs. Please let us know if you have a special need for a specific quiet time. Otherwise, quiet time in the house is from midnight until 7:00 am. Smoking is not allowed inside the apartment; there is an ashcan for smokers on the patio; please use it. For bookings made before August 8, 2023, for guests staying seven days or longer, access to laundry facilities is available. For bookings made after August 8, 2023, laundry access has been discontinued. We have video doorbells on the upstairs exterior doors. They monitor and record comings and goings to the house. Access to the mechanical room for the A/C and heating systems are in the apartment. If we need to access the mechanical room, we will contact you by phone ahead of time or, in an emergency, we will enter the space for that purpose only. Unfortunately, there is some noise in the apartment from the heating and cooling systems. Due to extreme allergies and the shared air handling system, we are unable to host any animals.
