The home boasts a large wood burning fireplace, 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, laundry, open floor plan for the kitchen and dining area, walkout basement with nice recreation area and a cozy loft. The large wrap-around porch is partially screened and has a great view of one of the ponds on the property. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need anything before, during or after your stay. Inside Cabin Fun: - Watch a movie - 3 TV's with streaming services. - Big ‘screen’ with projector. Projector and DVD’s in the bunk room. Hang a blanket from loft and project (careful the outlet isn’t connected to the switch by the door!) - Play a game (in basement) / Poker - Ping Pong (basement) - Paint a rock (outside on screened in porch) – leave behind or take with you! - Color a picture for the fridge-of-fame Frog Water’s 66 Acres of Outside Fun: - Check out the Spring House – you’ll quickly see why we call the Farm “Frog Water” - Play in the pond - Fish either pond - both have largemouth bass / crappie / catfish / bluegill – it’s been said the lower pond has trout due to the fast water moving from the springs - Bonfire at the top of the Fireside trail – please pull dead wood from forest rather than burning cut wood - Bonfire outside of the cabin (outside basement door) – 1 rack of split wood provided ($75 additional change for each subsequent amount used) - Hike the trails – maps provided, though we add new trails on-going. Trails are marked (“blazed”) with spray-paint on the trees … don’t forget your walkie talkies (on kitchen counter) for little cell service - Watch for animals – Deer, turkey, birds and cayote – we also have an owl living near the Birthday Saw Trail (yellow and green star) - Check out the orchard (behind the barn) – we’re currently giving it a few years off! - Play in the woods - Find “Family Falls” (Hint: it’s off the Fireside trail) - Sledding on the property can be lots of fun Local Fun - Off Property: - Head to Gatton Rocks or the covered bridge at Mohican for some fly fishing - Hike / Horseback ride at Mohican state park - Boat on Clearfork Reservoir - B & O Bike trail runs right through Butler – part of the Ohio to Erie Trail - Raft / Canoe the local rivers – there are many canoe liveries nearby - Ski / Snowboard / Tube at Snow Trails Ski Resort - only 9.5 miles away (5 minute drive). - There is no cable. There are 4 smart TV's with HDMI cables you can hook up to. There is also a projector you can set up and a bunch of DVD's you can use. - There is no Central AC. The cabin is well insulated and stays fairly cool but can get warm on hot days. - Feel free to use the fire pit on the hill and burn downed wood from the forest floor. - 1 rack of cut firewood is provided (outside basement door). There will be a be a charge ($75.00 per ‘rack’ equivalent) for additional firewood used. - Cell phone connectivity is spotty at times. There are walkie-talkies (kitchen counter) for use on property. The best cell reception is at top field by bonfire. - There is a great bike trail and restaurants in Butler. Less than a 10 minute drive. - There is a corn hole set, pond floats and a few other toys on the porch. Have fun! - Lots of hills for sledding - Paths for cross-country skiing
