The convenient single-level layout is cocooned with warmth and comfort, thanks to the practical floorplan and orientation to the sun. The open-plan living/dining area has floor-to-ceiling windows with peaceful garden outlooks. Driving to Point Lonsdale from central Melbourne is approximately 1.5 hours and 30 minutes from Geelong. House Features: Air conditioning for the open-plan living room, dining and kitchen. Fans are in each of the bedrooms. The main bedroom has a comfortable new queen bed. The second bedroom has two single beds. A larger bed can be set up with notice if required. Excellent reading lights and quality window coverings are provided. The central bathroom has a shower and there is a separate toilet. There is also an outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach. Central heating and electric blankets are available for the cooler months. A separate laundry room has a frontloading washer and there is a clothesline outside. Kitchen: The kitchen is stocked with supplies to get you started. There is a full-size fridge and dishwasher, an electric oven, and a separate gas cooktop. A Nespresso coffee machine, benchtop pizza oven, and a soda stream are also available. Crockery, glasses, and cutlery are provided for eight people. Fully fenced and gated, this property is child and pet-friendly, however, we do prefer that dogs are outside unless a prior arrangement has been made. A BBQ and outdoor furniture are available for dining under the stars or relaxing with your morning coffee in the garden. A large market umbrella and two smaller outdoor umbrellas are available to use. Attractions: A twenty-minute walk will take you to the village shops and cafes, the promenade, and a protected beach. Swimming and snorkeling are safe and easily accessible on this family-friendly front beach. Alternatively, the open back beach is a short walk directly behind the house over the dunes - ideal for long walks and surfing. This beach is patrolled by wonderful surf lifesavers during the summer months. Queenscliff, Drysdale Portarlington, Ocean Grove, and Barwon Heads are within close driving distance for fishing, diving, boating, tennis, dining, or a picnic. There are also many world-class wineries nearby. To explore the Mornington Peninsula on the other side of the bay, there is a reliable hourly car ferry service that runs between Queenscliff and Sorrento which only takes forty minutes. For the golfers, Point Lonsdale Golf Club is up the hill within walking distance or an easy drive.
