The apartment is located In a lovely rural setting on the edge of the Northern Lake District between Penrith and Keswick, close to the villages of Berrier and Greystoke. It offers luxurious accommodation with outstanding views across open countryside towards the Pennines and has been constructed, furnished and equipped to a very high standard. It is an ideal base for exploring the Lake District or as a bolthole from the stresses and strains of everyday city life. Ullswater is only a few miles away and Keswick no more than a twenty minute drive. If you wish to explore further afield then Carlisle and Hadrians Wall are within easy driving distance. Or you could just relax on the balcony or use the leisure facilities. There are a table and two chairs on the balcony and is a lovely place for a leisurely breakfast or for drinks in the evening. If you are an early riser you may see some spectacular sun-rises. You will not miss your usual home comforts. There is a 50 inch smart TV with Netflix, Disney and Prime Video amongst the available apps. If the weather is bad or you fancy a night in just login with your own account. There is a dining area with table and chairs and the kitchen features a hob and microwave. There is a dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, and toaster. There are pots and pans for cooking together with tableware and glasses. If you would rather let someone else do the cooking, there is a restaurant and bar in the village offering a wide range of food and drinks. If you wish to dine in the restaurant then booking is essential. The restaurant is open from 15:00 until 22:00 with last orders for food at 20:30. If you wish to venture further afield there is a list of local pubs and restaurants in a folder in the sideboard. There is a well appointed bathroom with bath, shower and twin vanity units. Use of the leisure facilities are complementary for all guests. There is a pool, hot-tub, sauna, steam room and gym. All are in the same building as the apartment, there is no need to venture outside. They are open from 08:00 to 19:00. You do need to book use of these facilities. This can be done online before your arrival if you wish. You will need a £1 coin for the lockers. There is a 9-hole putting green on site and an 18-hole mini golf course if golf is your thing, or you can have a game of chess on the giant chess board close to reception. Unfortunately pets are not allowed on site but there are 5* kennels - Berrier Boarders – close at hand. Please note that the apartment is situated on the first floor of the block and can be accessed by stairs or lift. Should fire alarms be activated, the lift will become unoperational, so is not ideal for anyone who is unable to use the stairs in such an event. Guest access There is a large car park on site which is only a few minutes walk from the apartment. There is also a drop off area outside reception where you can unload/load bags when checking in and out. There is a 10mph speed limit on site. There is also a small disabled parking area close to reception, but due to its location on the first floor, the apartment may not be suitable for some disabled people. There are four electric car charging points adjacent to the reception area. Should they all be occupied the closest alternative is at Rheged service area about 8 miles back along the A66 towards Penrith. Other things to note The outer doors to the block close at approx 22:00. Reception can supply the access code for these doors so, if you are anticipating a late return one evening, then ask reception for the code. Also ensure you have the emergency telephone number to hand - this should have been supplied with the welcome pack.
