Description

Casa Porto Bagnera is without doubt one of the star attractions of Solemar Sicilia's accommodation options. This gorgeous and characterful holiday home belonged, until recently, to the family of Giuseppe Bagnera, the architect who designed and built the port of Porticello. Bagnera transformed what had been a simple fishing village into the largest fishing port found anywhere on the island of Sicily. His family truly had the sea in their veins, and their passion for fishing and all things nautical is evident in the furnishing and decoration of this lovely property. The colour schemes, nets, the anchors and lobster pots will leave you in no doubt that you're within touching distance of the Mediterranean Sea. Casa Porto Bagnera is undoubtedly a jewel in the crown of our properties. This historic house belonged, until recently, to the descendants of Giuseppe Bagnera, the man who built the harbour of Porticello, transforming it from a simple fishing village to Sicily's largest hub for the industry. The property is steeped in this inherited passion for the sea and love of fishing, reflected in the lovingly-selected furnishings and decoration throughout. The colour scheme, the nets, the anchors and the lobster pots give Casa Bagnera a beautiful character and unmistakable nautical flavour. Guest access The accommodation is exclusively reserved for you. Other things to note Casa Porto Bagnera is a real juwel among our offers. Until recently, it belonged to a descendant of the Signor Giuseppe Bagnera, who at that time planned the port of Porticello and changed it from a small jetty to the second largest fishing port in Sicily. Accordingly, the house, which has a beautiful view of the harbour and the sea, is furnished with great attention to detail. In each corner you will find smaller and larger decorations that reflect the builder’s attachment to the sea and fishing. The house is very tastefully decorated and houses many antique furniture, impressive paintings and jewellery wherever you look. Registration Details IT082067C2B6EKU677
