There are great selection of beach bars and restaurants offering local caught fresh fish and a sailing school on the lagoon where sailing, windsurfing and kayaking are available. The village centre is a short stroll with all local amenities. For more shopping including several large supermarkets Caldas da Rainha is 8km. Obidos walled village is 12km. Lisbon is around 80km by motorway. There are numerous golf courses within the area, including CampoReal Golf in Torres Vedras, Praia del Rey, Royal Obidos (deigned by Seve Ballesteros), Golden Eagle in Rio Maior and Bom Sucesso.
