A charming cottage at the foot of Cordes sur ciel

Our lovely 18th century house is in Les Cabannes very close to Cordes sur Ciel (1.5km by road) in a beautiful area near Albi, Gaillac & Toulouse. There are loca shops, a theatre & great walks from the front door. Many shops & restaurants in Cordes itself. It is a cosy house, in a quiet village with stunning views of Cordes sur Ciel. Excellent for couples using the main en-suite bedroom, or groups of 4 or 5 using the attic bedroom and/or sofa bed. There is second WC & Shower. The space Maison Felix is well equipped and stylishly furnished and decorated. There is a comfortable room with kitchen, log burner and small dining table for 4 or 5 on the ground floor, a bedroom with king size double bed on the first floor, with en-suite bathroom WC with bath. There is a comfortable salon with WC and shower on the second floor, and another spacious double bedroom under the eaves in the attic. There is a double sofa bed in the Salon which can be made up if you prefer. There is a separate garden just around the corner behind the house. Although it is a small house, there is ample space in the four rooms. There are bikes (at your own risk), there is a vintage gramophone, books, CDs and DVDs. Cooking facilities include a ceramic hob and full sized oven, along with plenty of utensils and a lovely Limoges dinner service. The whole house is comfortable, peaceful, and light. There are four rooms on four floors, so you will keep fit on the stairs! There is modern electric heating throughout Guest access The house and garden and all the equipment is available exclusively for guests. The separate garden is just around the back of the house, and includes a covered area, large table, four chairs, small barbecue, sun loungers, and sun shade. The second bedroom is in the attic. It is spacious and comfortable but the stairs come in under the eaves and this access may not suit everybody. The shower and WC are in the room below, and a sofa bed can be made up on this level if preferred. Bedding and towels are provided. Parking is in the square, very near the house, or in the car park a few paces further. There are no parking charges or restrictions. Other things to note There is wi-fi. There is a small television (not BBC) and a mini hi fi system on the ground floor and a small DVD player in the salon on the second floor. The house has modern electric heating. We are in the Gaillac wine region, with one of the best vineyards (Chateau Bourguet) very near, overlooking Cordes. The "golden" triangle of Cordes, Albi & Gaillac is one of the most beautiful parts of France. Registration Details 628
