Serenity in the Hills is a chic, fully furnished one-bedroom studio tucked into the lush hills of Laguna Beach — offering privacy, comfort, and effortless coastal living. Inside, the space is thoughtfully curated with calming neutrals and soft coastal blues. Please note: The unit is accessed via a private exterior staircase and may not be suitable for guests with mobility limitations. Well-behaved pets are welcome with prior approval. Dogs must remain on a leash (maximum 6’) while outdoors and may not be left unattended outside. Cats must remain indoors at all times. The hillside setting makes the home best suited for small to medium-sized pets. Just 1.2 miles to the beach and 5 minutes to downtown Laguna, you’re perfectly positioned for art galleries, cafés, hiking trails, and day trips to LA or San Diego. Ideal for writers, executives, traveling professionals, or anyone seeking calm and clarity by the coast. Guest access Guests have full and private use of the studio, balcony, and one-car garage. The space has its own private entrance and is completely independent from the main home, offering total privacy and a sense of peaceful seclusion. A washer and dryer are conveniently located on-site and available for guest use — a rare luxury in Laguna Beach. Beach chairs and towels are also provided for your coastal adventures, and the garage offers easy storage for surfboards or luggage. Relax on the balcony with your morning coffee or unwind at sunset as ocean breezes drift through. Check-in is seamless, with self-entry available for added convenience. Everything has been designed to make your stay effortless, from arrival to departure. During your stay I live in the main home and rent out the attached studio apartment, which has its own private entrance. Guests enjoy full privacy, but I’m nearby if you ever need anything. I occasionally travel for 2–3 weeks at a time, and during those periods, my two Ragdoll cats, Spencer and Grace, sometimes stay home. If you’re an animal lover missing your furry friends, you’re welcome to help care for them while I’m away — feeding twice a day and a quick litter box clean once daily. The studio and main home are connected by a shared door that can remain closed or open, entirely at your preference. When open, Spencer and Grace may wander in for a visit — only if you’d like their company. This arrangement is completely optional and always discussed in advance. Guests who choose to lend a hand with the cats are always met with deep appreciation (and a little extra gratitude from Spencer and Grace). Other things to note Available for 30 nights or longer, per city requirements. Pets are welcome (with a $75 fee) — well-behaved furry friends fit right in here. Just 1.2 miles to the beach and a 3-minute drive to downtown Laguna, the location offers easy access to cafés, galleries, and coastal trails while feeling peacefully tucked away in the hills. All utilities, high-speed Wi-Fi, and cable are included for a seamless extended stay.
