Description

Casa Valier lets you enter the history of Venice: a family apartment, in a 16th-century building, newly restored and in a strategic position between Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge to discover the treasures of the city. Casa Valier is a 130-square-meter apartment on the upper first floor of a 16th-century building in the heart of Venice's historic center. The apartment is accessed via 33 steps, the elevator is not available. The apartment was bought by the curia and handed down for generations to my husband. He personally took care of the restoration. To make your stay more pleasant, we have chosen a decor in line with the history of our city, known for its festivals, its carnival, Casanova and Don Giovanni. Many of the furnishings you find in the house come from the famous Des Bains hotel on the Venice Lido, and the paintings, furniture, and chandeliers are all original pieces. The house is under the constraint of the fine arts and it was not possible to insert the wall-mounted air conditioner. We have equipped the house with two portable air conditioners for the summer: one in the red room (double) and one in the hallway. In the living room, in the red double room and in the green double room we have also set up a fan. The green double room, in the past was a private chapel, has no windows to the outside but two tall windows overlooking the corridor. The apartment consists of a living room with a relaxation area and a small toilet with a shower. The hallway provides access to a comfortable and well-equipped kitchen, equipped with a stove, oven and microwave oven and TV. The master bathroom has 2 sinks, a toilet, a bidet, a large shower, and a bathtub. For your stay at Casa Valier, you will find sheets, towels, soaps, and everything you need to cook. The apartment is fully accessible to guests. Only a few drawers are closed. We will be happy to help you organize your trip in the best way, looking for the best solution that allows you to get to know the city like a Venetian. I am a tourist guide and if you wish I can help you choose what to visit, where to eat and where to shop. San Marco needs no introduction: it is the center of the world, where everyone arrives, everyone wants to see it and you are there! The house is close to the main shopping streets, restaurants, services and water buses. The house is: 150 meters from St. Mark's Basilica 170 meters from the Doge's Palace 170 meters from the Bridge of Sighs 350 meters from Rialto 350 meters from the Accademia Bridge The nearest vaporetto stops for Alilaguna and ACTV are: Rialto and San Marco, where services are guaranteed 24/7. Surroundings: Supermarket _"Despar" in Campo de la Guerra, open from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. It is a small supermarket where you can find a limited selection of food and personal hygiene products. -"Coop" in Calle del Mondo Nuovo 5811/18 open from 08:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. You can find everything you need for eating, drinking, and body care. Lunch and dinner 5- "Vecio Fritolin" Santa Croce, 2262 Calle della Regina is a historic fish restaurant. For lunch you can buy "scartoccio" and remove the fried Venetian fish with vegetables and polenta. 6- "Rosso Pomodoro" in San Marco, Calle Larga San Marco 404, real Italian pizza, a FEW steps away from the house. 7. "La Caravella" in San Marco, Calle XXII Marzo 2399 is one of the most famous restaurants in the city. Famous for its cuisine, service, and unusual naval-style decor. 8- "Osteria Il Milion" Castello, Corte del Milion 5841, the oldest restaurant in Venice. 9. "Do Forni" in San Marco, Calle Specchieri 468, a short walk from the house, really good for raw fish.        The above is a selection of the thousand things you can do in Venice, but we have tried them first. Please check the closing days, times and prices before visiting the businesses indicated.
