A pleasant retreat with easy access to swimming, kayaking, bird-watching, and sunset-viewing, as well as the restaurants, galleries, and other attractions of Newburyport, and Parker River National Wildlife Refuge and Sandy Point State Reservation. A moment's walk to Plum Island Beach on one side of the house and the tidal Basin on the other, 2-mile cycle, walk, or drive to the Refuge entrance, and 4 miles to Newburyport center. The first floor has a cozy, cottage feeling, including: living room with fireplace, dining-room, well-equipped eat-in kitchen with gas stove and dishwasher, a first floor bedroom with a full size bed, and full bath. Clothes washer and dryer in basement. Enclosed sun-porch and a small deck at the front of the house.Upstairs is bright and airy. Two large bedrooms, each with French doors open to a deck that runs the width of the 2nd floor, with ocean and Basin views. Drapes provide privacy and shade. Half-bath with view of the Basin . The house is set back from the street, with small front and back yards and a cobblestone patio in back, offering tree-shaded play areas for children, a place for grilling and outdoor eating, and a semi-enclosed outdoor shower.
