Come stay where the locals live! 1000 sq ft basement suite in lower Chautauqua/the heart of Univ. Hill Historic Dist. 10 mins to CU, 15 mins. to Pearl Street, 4 blocks to Flatirons hiking trails (Boulder's Crown Jewel) & 3 hours to skiing. living room, dining area, no kitchen but I provide microwave & toaster(upon request), full fridge, coffee maker. Easy parking, & washer/dryer. Luna, my 5 year old pup may be out during your stay - she's awesome. 1 bedroom w/plush queen bed, comfy pull out leather sofa in living room. Renovated, 1,000 sq foot basement suite in historic home is the perfect location for access to all things Boulder - away from students but close to the action. Complete with cozy, quirky and recently renovated bathroom (what would you expect in a 1920's home?), dining area and separate sitting area, I try and greet guests personally when possible, but offer convenient self check in. The suite has private entrance. Parking is readily available right outside and I provide 1 parking pass for guests. Washer/dryer available for your use while you are staying. I do not provide washing detergent and please no outside laundry. I have one of the prettiest gardens in the area. Enjoy the beautiful garden with pergola, chaise lounges, umbrellas, dining tables and grill. Enjoy morning coffee, breakfast or a glass of wine while grilling dinner. **Check in/check out times are fairly strict. 3:00PM check in. 10:00AM check out. I am happy to accommodate (if I can) any early or late check outs if you message me 24 hours before but there is no guarantee. You are welcome to drop off your luggage in the backyard before checkin and can leave it in the backyard after checkout if your requested checkin or checkout time cannot be accommodated. otherwise no notice is required for luggage drop off. Thank you and welcome to my home! I am glad to interact as much or as little as our guests desire - it is your time! With over 27 years in Boulder, I can answer any questions and provide suggestions for sightseeing, restaurants and activities, etc. I'm happy to tell you of any events going on in the area during your stay. JUST A FEW ONGOING EVENTS Boulder Farmer's Market all Summer/Fall Saturdays and Wednesday evenings Bands on the Bricks Colorado Music Festival Chautauqua Summer Concert Series Colorado Shakespeare Festival Boulder Creek Festival Bolder Boulder 10K Memorial Day July 4th with Boulder Symphony Fine Arts Street Festival Pearl Street Arts Fair Colorado Brazil Fest Boulder Fall Fest Our 1928 home harks back to a time in Boulder fast disappearing. We are located in the University Hill Historic District, and surrounded by homes of the Craftsman bungalow era in Boulder but within a 10 minute walk of the gorgeous Flatirons, located at Chautauqua, the base of Flagstaff Mountain (a popular hike and challenging bike ride to the top.) My backyard is beautifully landscaped and peaceful. Nestled under the pergola, the draping lights and cozy seating area add a European ambiance for drinks/dining on a warm summer's night - or the crispness of a fall or winter night. When the weather is warm, a water feature provides that hint of a peaceful mountain stream. We are 3 blocks away from the main bus line that circumnavigates the city (and our neck of the woods) - and takes you to the central bus station where buses for Denver and surrounding areas depart. You can pick up the Hop or Skip which drops you 2 blocks from the house. No car needed from our location- you can walk or bike to anywhere on the extensive bike paths. There are E-bikes to be rented all over the city as well. If you do have a car during your stay you’ll be provided with 1 parking permit for street parking. CU Boulder is just a 10 minute walk and downtown (Pearl Street) is a 20 minute walk but you can also take the bus. World class dining, twice weekly Farmer's Markets, Shakespeare Festival (all during summer and fall), road races, Boulder Bolder 10K (3rd largest 10K in the US), free tours of Celestial Seasonings Tea Company, started in Boulder, nationally acclaimed micro breweries, bustling Pearl St. Mall and a plethora of other cultural & athletic events keep Boulder lively. We are 10 minutes' walk to Chautauqua, where concerts are attended all summer long. They have a lovely outdoor dining facility serving B,L,D. We are within 3 hours of world class skiing at Winter Park, Copper, Vail, Beaver Creek and Breckenridge. Also a 30 minute drive to Red Rocks Amphitheater and 1 hour to beautiful Estes Park in the Rocky Mountains. Don’t want to drive? There’s usually a bus that will take you but check bus schedules. Grill available (utensils, -just ask). This a 100 year old house and the unit is a basement suite and it is not sound proof. - microwave, board games and grilling utensils are by request only - please keep in mind the dinning room has a coffee station that might resemble a kitchenette in the photos but it is not a true kitchen. The only way to cook is with the grill or microwave.
