Description

Welcome to the Stables and Hayloft, overlooking the Hop Kilns gardens and duck pond and beautiful Herefordshire countryside. The self-catering accommodation consists of a (super king size) bedroom and spacious luxurious bathroom, an open plan, fully equipped kitchen, dining and living area with bifold doors opening onto the south facing balcony with rural views. Netflix, wifi, parking with EV charging. Sorry no pets, no smoking anywhere on the premises, no additional visitors or guests. The space The accommodation is quiet and relaxing, surrounded by farmland, perfect for a romantic getaway. The building has been designed with comfort in mind, but also character. There are several original features, the tables are made from the old stable and hayloft doors, a section of hay rack is in the bedroom and the cubby holes originally used for candles are now featured in the hall and bedroom. Z shaped side tables have been made from leftover cedar stable wall panels, the rest have been combined with the elm floor boards to make the upstairs flooring. We are only a mile and a half from Ledbury with its lovely pubs, restaurants and shops. The spectacular Malvern Hills are a 10 minute drive away, with a handy watering hole for drink or lunch at the Malvern Hills Hotel. Eastnor Castle is about 7 mins drive and open in the summer with its maze, gardens and indoor tours of the castle. Guest access Guests have their own independent front door and key to the accommodation. We live in the Hop Kilns next door to the Stables and Hayloft and both are set in 1.4 acres of gardens. You are welcome to enjoy the gardens and ponds with about 40 ducks as well as moorhens...we are home to lots of rabbits too! Other things to note We have left you a welcome continental breakfast selection of local produce, including farm eggs. If you have any allergies or special requirements do let us know and we will do our best to accommodate these. We have also left a folder with details of how everything works. However if you need help with the log burner please ask and we can show you how to use it. Logs are provided and there are plenty more outside if you need them. Towels (1 bath, 1 hand towel and I face towel per person) are changed twice weekly, however if you would like extra towels during your stay we are happy to provide these on request. There is parking with an EV 7Kw charger available for your car. It operates on a pay as you go system set at a reasonable tariff. There is added peace of mind with Voltshare's 24/7 support. It's an untethered charger connector type 2, so do please remember to bring your own charger with you. Please be aware that the farms around us can be busy places and, particularly at the various fruit harvest times, can be noisy with activity from farm vehicles and machinery, gathering and packing up fruit. July and September are usually the busiest months.
