Description
Short Term Let Licence Number AS-00330-F Our guest cabin stands by itself in the large garden of our little 19th century cottage. We are on the edge of the small Highland village of Braemar in a quiet situation across from a tearoom patisserie and 150m from the centre of the village itself. The space A free-standing cabin (area 68m squared) set in the large garden of the owners' cottage in the picturesque Highland village of Braemar. Great hillwalking direct from the doorstep, quick and easy access to ski slopes in winter. The village has shops and restaurants. The chalet, all on one level, has two double and one twin bedroom and one bathroom with shower. The living space incorporates a comfortable seating area with TV and an open plan kitchen with fridge, washer/drier, dishwasher and microwave. Guests have access to the extensive garden and the chalet has its own wrap-around decking with seating, a guest barbeque and dining furniture. There is ample parking. There is a large pond in the garden with views to the mountains behind. The owners will greet you on arrival and may be in their neighbouring cottage during your stay. They will leave local information for you in the cabin. Braemar is set in the Cairngorm National Park. It has two historic castles. There are hotels and restaurants in the village, about 200m from the cabin itself. There is a bus stop right in front of the chalet. The bus runs into Ballater and onward to Aberdeen. The cabin has ample off-road parking. From Aberdeen Airport, follow signs for Braemar. The fabulous garden is there for your pleasure but the large pond is deep. It is separated from part of the garden by a fence but is not fenced off itself and you should note this if you are bringing children. Guest access Guests have access to the whole of the cabin, which is independent. There is full access to the decking and garden furniture and full access to the extensive garden itself. Other things to note There is a large pond (lochan) in the garden, which is partially wild and good for birdspotting! Parents should note that the lochan is not itself fenced and is accessible from the cabin's wrap around decking. However, the whole back garden and lochan are fully fenced off from the drive and the large child-friendly decking beside it. If you have an electric car, there are two charge points in the village, one beside the toilets in the main car park behind the butcher, and the other in the car park opposite the Invercauld Hotel (opposite side of the road). They are pictured in the property listing's photos. Please let us know if you can't use these chargers as we can run a line from the shed for you. There will be a £15.00 fee for each time you charge your car at the cabin, based on RAC data. Registration Details AS-00330-P
