Lovely Beach front cottage, Hope Cove, South Devon

The Moorings is a 350 year old fisherman’s cottage, with a location so perfect, it would be impossible to find a better spot. Right in the heart of the picturesque Devon village of Hope Cove and literally just a few steps from the beach. This lovely cottage, which comfortably sleeps 6, is upside down, with the bedrooms on the ground floor and the living area upstairs, the decor is stylish, fun and quirky, the ideal base for a family holiday to explore this beautiful part of the Devon coast. The space The front door leads into a small entrance hall. To the right is bedroom one. With a king sized bed, a good sized fitted wardrobe with plenty of hanging space, large chest of drawers and a spacious en-suite shower room. To the left is a double room with twin single beds, fitted wardrobe, large chest of drawers and en suite shower room. Further down the corridor is bedroom 3, with a double bed, fitted wardrobe, drawers and en suite bath room. All three bedrooms are tastefully decorated with crisp and cool linen, each with their own unique touch. Upstairs there is a cosy sitting room with two big squashy leather sofas. There’s plenty of room to relax and take advantage of the smart TV, DVD player and free WiFi. A separate snug has yet another sofa and a selection of books. toys and games, making it a perfect space for children. A large, rustic dining table sits in the centre of the kitchen. A spacious and well equipped room it has an electric stove, microwave,fridge-freezer, dishwasher,washing machine and tumble dryer. Both upstairs rooms have pretty feature windows where you can sit and take in views of the harbour and beach A cloakroom with WC and hand basin completes the upper living space. Outside is a large, decked terrace, enclosed by a glass balustrade with incredible views of both beaches. Relax and watch the world go by. Enjoy alfresco dining with unbeatable views or just sit on quiet summer evenings and listen to the waves. Electricity for this property is supplied by solar panels and supplemented by Good Energy, making all the property’s energy 100% renewable. Guest access There is no parking at the Moorings, you may park to unload and load your car outside the front door but must then leave your car parked elsewhere nearby, there is the main Outer Hope Car park close by (Please be aware that this is a number plate recognition car park). Outer Hope Cove tends to get very busy and any free parking spaces are extremely limited and have time restrictions during the peak season so alternatively we recommend free parking along the Inner Hope road beside the Cottage Hotel entrance if you can find a free spot, from there you can walk down the Cottage Hotel entrance drive which will bring you straight back to The Moorings and the beach again.
