Brick house on a tree lined residential street in South St. Louis City. This neighborhood has one of the lowest crime rates in the region. Neighborhood feel, but close to everything. The space South St. Louis City, 10-15 minute drive to Downtown St. Louis via highway 55. Eight minute drive to the Anheuser-Busch Brewery Tour Center and historic Soulard and Lafayette Square French Quarter entertainment districts. 3 Blocks from Carondelet Park. 15-20 minutes to Forest Park, Washington University and most museums. 10-20 minutes to local sports stadiums. Private room with a full-sized bed. 2 guest max/ no children. Shared bathroom, living room, and kitchen area available for use. Ample street parking available. Only registered guests allowed in the house. I have a finished basement that is not part of the shared space. I might have an occasional family member or other guest staying down there. They will not be in your space and you won’t likely see them (except on the back patio). I have a small dog (Yorkie) who is friendly, potty trained and he doesn't shed. He doesn't seem to affect those with allergies, but that is your call. He usually sleeps in my room. In your room there are ample blankets, pillows, towels. There’s a TV, channels for streaming, a small workspace, an armchair with ottoman, Wi-Fi. Not set up for children. In the kitchen a refrigerator, coffee machine, coffee, dishes, oil, salt and pepper, microwave, stove, and air fryer available for your use. Transportation: There is a grocery store and strip mall called Loughborough Commons (1/4 mile away). There is a bus stop blocks away that will take you all the way to Forest Park, Washington University and the Zoo. There is a bus transfer center at Loughborough Commons and at Gravois Loop (both 1/2 mile in either direction). The Shrewsbury Metrolink station is 3 miles away. MODOT is the regional transportation provider. There is a regional bike path a few blocks from the house. To get to the house from the airport, you can catch Metrolink to the Civic Center stop for a nominal fee and Uber or taxi from there. Rides are cheaper from the Metrolink station than from the airport and there is a bus hub behind it, as well. You can search MODOT (Missouri Department of Transportation) for transportation options or download the Taxi, Uber and Lyft apps to your phone for transportation in St. Louis. Smoking: Allowed on the back patio only Guest access All main floor common areas(kitchen, bathroom, dining room, living room) are available to you. Closets and cabinets in any room other than yours and the kitchen are off limits. Your closet will contain additional bedding and towels. During your stay I am not always home, but always available via text. Other things to note PLEASE NOTE: I'm not on AirBnB to meet men for dating, make internet friends, etc. and I'm not looking to host families with children. Only registered guests allowed on the premises. I have two adult children and a brother who are occasionally in the house.
