Come check out our facelift! This past summer, Sol gutted and fully renovated our siding and the entire first floor. Now an open-concept--come see the new kitchen and living room! 180-degree views from the entire first floor. We've been told our deck looks like an infinity pool. Come stay at this relaxing spot on Joe's Pond. This year-round home sits on Joe's Pond, a 360-acre body of water in Cabot, Vermont. The home has three bedrooms; a queen bed in the master, another queen bed, and a full all upstairs along with one full bathroom on the upper level. The downstairs provides a comfortable living room with a big screen TV, an eat-in kitchen, a full bathroom with a claw foot bathtub, and a sunporch that spans the entire back of the house, looking at the water. The highlight of the home is a huge 30 x 30 foot deck that covers the boat garage beneath. The dock is perfect for parking your boat, canoe or kayaks. Boat rentals are available on the pond. Joe's Pond is made up of three ponds that are all connected. Our house is on the biggest of the three. It is an adventure to boat or kayak and explore the wildlife and the two islands. Guests should expect to see beautiful sunrises from the master bedroom that overlooks the water. Loons are frequently seen from the deck. The house is part of a friendly neighborhood and there is parking for up to three cars in the lot by the road. The house is thirty minutes from Burke Mountain, forty minutes from Stowe Mountain, and the Kingdom Trails are thirty minutes away and are considered to be the best mountain biking trail system in New England. Joe's Pond Store is a small convenience store that is about a mile away and in nearby Danville there is Marty's First Stop which provides delicious meats, sandwiches, groceries and gas. The Creamery Restaurant is a great place to hit in Danville and for fine dining, visit The Scale House Restaurant in nearby Hardwick. If you need someone, our parents are both close by, as is my brother. A quiet, relaxed neighborhood where everyone is friendly and respectful of the peace and quiet. (Please also do your part to respect the neighbor's quiet.) Parking is across the street from our house. 2-3 parking spaces. Please be sure to close the windows if you leave the house for the day. Storms can arrive quickly and we've had lots of water blow in during some thunderstorms. If you accidentally turn on the dishwasher and want to turn it off, hold the 'cancel' button for 3-5 seconds. To turn on the oven, you must select BOTH the temperature AND the type of cooking you would like to do. (High Bake, Low Bake, Convection Bake, Convection Broil, Broil, etc.). When you are finished, please turn off both dials.
