The space Welcome to Arcadia on Carrington - a grand country home that is stylishly furnished with collectables and artwork. Arcadia on Carrington is close to bushwalks, escarpment views, renowned restaurants and the Katoomba town centre. There are four (4) bedrooms, three (3) bathrooms and five (5) beds at Arcadia: Bedroom 1: Queen bed with large ensuite bathroom Bedroom 2: Queen bed using main bethroom Bedroom 3: Queen bed and a Single bed with ensuite bathroom Bedroom 4: Queen bed, with French Door leading out onto the front veranda, using the main bathroom. There is a large main bathroom with shower and spa bath. Arcadia on Carrington is a stylish and comfortable retreat, particularly for four couples with plenty of space. There is a combined living/dining/kitchen great room at the back of the house, which looks out over an established garden. Gather by the gas log fire in winter or on cool evenings, or open the French doors at the back in warmer weather and enjoy the scents and sights in the garden. A recent addition is the Safari Bar, a separate entertainment room and bar in the garden which opens onto the outdoor dining and BBQ area under the wisteria. A feature is the Bluetooth enabled "jukebox" which can link to your play lists on your phone or broadcast via internet radio. Always a warm welcome - in wintertime, we turn the heating on before your arrival so you enter a warm and cosy house. All of the comfortable beds are equipped with doonas, electric blankets and blankets, plus extra throws in each room. A day at Arcadia on Carrington: Coffee in the sunroom or on the front veranda - explore the nearby walks or Echo Point with lunch. In the afternoon, take a book to the sunroom for quiet solace. Relax, gather in the Great Room to socialise or dine. Cook up a storm in the fully equipped kitchen with dinner at the dining room table or perhaps a barbeque under the wisteria in the garden. At sunset, take a bottle of champagne just up to the crest of Carrington Ave, sit on the park bench and admire the ageless escarpment turning golden ochre under the setting sun. Arcadia on Carrington is conveniently located between the town centre and Echo Point. Adjacent to Prince Henry Cliff Top Walk (Leura Cascades to Echo Point) and an easy stroll to two top class restaurants, The Rooster and Solitary. Guest access Arcadia on Carrington has no permanent residents, you have exclusive use of the whole house for the length of your stay. Other things to note There is an outdoor fireplace. A limited supply of firewood is provided and additional supplies are readily available from local service stations. The fireplace must not be used when a "fire ban" in in place due to bushfire risk. Linen, towels and toiletries are provided. All beds are made up with clean top and bottom sheets. Guests are expected to sleep BETWEEN THE SHEETS. Should you choose not to do so you may be charged an additional laundering fee for changing and washing the doona covers and/or blankets if also used. We understand that cultural differences may involve different practices at home, but we ask that you respect our system to keep linen and laundry costs within reasonable limits.
