Description
A secluded, pet-friendly chalet on the South Holston River, close to local amenities and just 12 miles from Bristol Motor Speedway and 9 miles to downtown Bristol. With over 700 feet of river frontage, it’s a great spot for fishing and water fun, plus it's near South Holston Lake. Enjoy the Birthplace of Country Music, NASCAR, and Rhythm and Roots Reunion, with easy day trips to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Asheville. The chalet is a paradise for nature lovers!!! The space This home is ideal for families, anglers, outdoorsmen, and anyone who loves nature. It comfortably sleeps 1-6 guests, with the main bedroom and an adjacent bedroom downstairs, plus an upstairs loft with a bed. You’ll also find an additional pull-out sleeper sofa on the main floor for added flexibility. The home includes two full bathrooms: one on the main level and one downstairs. This chalet was built by my husband, Tony, and his brother, Glenn. Tony is the youngest of 14 children, and Glenn—the oldest—was 18 years older. Despite the age gap, they built this place together, and it was truly a labor of love. Glenn has since passed, but his presence is still felt here in many special ways. The chalet is filled with family keepsakes that make it feel warm and cozy, and we hope you’ll feel right at home during your stay. The property is a short distance from all public boat ramps, making it easy to get on the water. While we don't have a proper ramp, you are able and welcome to launch/load from the bottom of the property. Out back, you’ll find two decks overlooking the South Holston River with incredible views, plus outdoor seating on both levels for your convenience. There’s also a smaller deck off the upstairs loft. There is ample parking for your vehicles & more. Enjoy the fire pit and extra seating by the riverbank, perfect for grilling freshly caught trout, roasting marshmallows, or cooking a few hotdogs. A charcoal grill is provided. Sit back, relax, and take in the river views. We thoroughly clean the entire chalet after each stay. If you have any questions about our procedures, please feel free to reach out. Guest access This space is not shared and so you have the entire house and property. If you are looking towards the river and to the far-left, our property extends to the fence behind the picnic shelter. To the right, the property extends well up the river to the first bend. We ask that you do not use the picnic shelter or dock to the far-left of the home without speaking with us first. You are welcome to use all frontage to access the river. We also request that you do not build a fire in either indoor fireplace. Other things to note We want you to feel at home during your stay. Please do not use the picnic shelter or dock to the left of the property unless you’ve made prior arrangements with us, and please do not block the driveway leading to the river. There is ample parking. You’re welcome to access the river from all of the property's frontage and you may take your boat out below the chalet if you choose. Public boat ramps are nearby. Please do not build fires in the indoor fireplaces. Tony grew up on the river and knows the area well, so if you have a question, ask away! Thank you, and see you on the river!
