The space With its historic charm, The Whare is a great property for couples wanting to escape to the country, a family break away, or tourists looking to experience an authentic experience on a working farm. It offers an over-sized master bedroom which features a glorious super-king bed, as well as two small bedrooms each with king singles, all with quality linen. It's fully equipped with a fabulous large open-plan kitchen and dining room complete with cosy open fire, seperate bathroom featuring a clawfoot bath, full laundry facilities and a snug area with log burner. There is also a large outdoor area with barbecue for those long summer evenings, as well as a well-stocked library of books, flat screen TV with SKY TV and DVDs available to bide time on those lazy days. Free wifi is also available. A breakfast hamper is also included featuring homemade granola, bread, milk, butter and other local treats. Tea and coffee, as well as other kitchen basics are also included. Guest access Set on a busy working 800 hectare sheep and cropping farm, The Whare provides fully self-contained, luxury accommodation. Once the station cookshop, the building has been lovingly restored. It's located in a picturesque part of the property surrounded by established trees, and open vistas with views of the mountains. You are free to explore the farm on foot or bike, with numerous farm tracks to follow or quiet rural roads, but be aware that as a working farm there are hazards to look out for so be sure to follow the safety guidelines. We can also accommodate your equine friends should you want to come and enjoy some safe farm riding. For those interested there maybe an opportunity to get up close with some of our farm animals, depending on the time of the year. Other things to note Alastair’s farm tours have become legendary.
