Long Tom Retreat

The Long Tom Retreat is a magical experience! Book your stay today! The space The Long Tom River winds a dreamy path through the cool shade of maples, cedars and ferns, tracing a line around the base of the steep hillside. Nestled in the crook of it’s lazy arm is the Retreat, a mini homestead paradise, which sits on two and a half acres of lovingly tended gardens, veggies, flowers, fruit trees and chickens. The Retreat rests where the Willamette Valley gives way to the rolling coastal foothills, an ideal launch point for day trips to the Oregon Coast 40 minutes away, or 20 minutes from Eugene’s music and foodie scene. Less than a mile off the main Highway 126, you'll have easy access to over a dozen of the finest Willamette Valley Wineries. A wonderful place to return to after searching out the local rivers and waterfall hikes, or a peaceful refuge for a longer retreat. We're also only 2 miles from Oregon Country Faire site, which occurs annually the 2nd week in July. Camping may also be available for this event...contact us for more info. The high ceilings of the Retreat create an airy, studio style floor plan with cooking facilities, bathroom and shower. Choose the Queen loft bed, or one of the full futon bed/couches below. The sliding glass doors look out over the back flower garden and fire pit. Bird songs and river music await your waking ears. Stay, be still, breathe. Sit in the morning sun in the daisy-filled grass, or on a bench in the quenching coolness of the river path. And if there happens to be rain, rest in your own private retreat, reading, relaxing, rejuvenating. With open arms, welcome! :) Guest access Feel free to walk the river paths, and enjoy the natural setting as birds, squirrels, deer and occasional wild turkeys wander about and entertain. Take a stroll through the garden and enjoy the fruits of our labors...berries in the Spring, greens throughout the summer, and plums or pears in the Fall. Take a dip in the Long Tom River or just sit quietly by the riverside, enjoying the peaceful solitude. Other things to note We don't allow pets so we can keep the space allergy free for all guests. We also discourage young children, due to the close proximity to the river, and the steep loft ladder.
