This spacious traditional Irish cottage is set in the pretty village of Baltray, with a lovely, sandy beach, world class County Louth Golf course and friendly 19th hole pub. Perfectly sited for all the attractions of Ireland's Ancient East, the historic town of Drogheda is just three miles away. The Bunker's traditional style makes for a homely, cosy atmosphere, while the extensive, well equipped, open plan living area creates the perfect social space for larger groups. The space The Bunker Cottage is a large traditional Irish cottage ideal for families or groups of friends with four double/triple bedrooms and three bathrooms, including one en-suite and a generous, open-plan living area. The house sleeps nine plus infants with no sofa beds. The large lawned garden has plenty of space for children to run off steam and affords spectacular views over the river Boyne wildlife sanctuary. Birdsong from the sanctuary wafts over the garden, day and night. The Bunker's high standard of accommodation and cosy comfort is enjoyed by small and larger groups. The kitchen is fully fitted with dishwasher, oven, hob and microwave and equipped with everything required to cater for the largest groups. A separate utility room has full laundry facilities. The dining table seats 10 with ease and the open plan arrangement creates an ideal social space for large numbers with sofas, TV, wood burning stove and plenty of books, guide and games. prioritising guests' comfort. There are three double bedrooms, one with a new en-suite bathroom. The largest double also has a cot and a super-king double bed which can be arranged as two single beds if preferred. The fourth bedroom has three single beds. There are three bathrooms, two with showers, one with a large Victorian bath. Beds are dressed with 100% cotton bed linen and towels, and natural Cole and Lewis toiletries are provided. The Bunker Cottage is ideal for beach, golf or cultural holidays. A choice of beautiful sandy beaches at Baltray, Seapoint and Clogherhead are just a few minutes away with more to choose from as you continue up the coast. There are spectacular walks all along the coast including a 3 mile walk along the strand which stretches unbroken from Baltray to Clogherhead passing the iconic ship wreck dug deep into the sand and finishing off at the cafe on the Little Strand, Clogherhead. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants to choose from too! Along with the 19th hole pub, The Bunker was named by the original owners of the golf course. A haven for golfers, The Bunker is situated in very easy access of three 18 hole links courses in Baltray, Termonfeckin and Bettystown - perfect for a 3 day golf break. Guest access Guests have sole use of the house and a large, private, fully fenced garden. There is ample parking. The house backs onto a disused farm yard which, for safety reasons, is out of bounds to guests.
